Re: Beta 10.0 Beast Thread
So, you can find bunch of new beast models by going to Wowhead, setting it to Beta, navigating Database > NPCs > Beasts and filtering it to show only things added in Dragonflight. Below is some spam of the most interesting ones that we haven't seen yet/haven't gotten a good look. I named the files based on the NPC's name currently in Wowhead if you want to take closer look by yourself.

Re: Beta 10.0 Beast Thread
I posted it back when the reveal happen, but it wasn’t an up close shot since the only view we had then was from a distance. It is good to see them up close
Re: Beta 10.0 Beast Thread
I am so hyped!
Re: Beta 10.0 Beast Thread
Alpha is downloading now but with my terrible internet it'll probably be days before it's done unless I get lucky and have a burst lol.
I look forward to hunting new tameable beasts when the zones come up though.
I want that Peacock <_<

Re: Beta 10.0 Beast Thread
These are Mount models, but indications of what else we could get.
Lava slug
A new model for the Windsteeds
Bull Moose
Lava mammoth. There is also a blue variant
Wowhead lists these as dragonflies
Primal tallstriders
Lava snail
Salamanders

Salamanders! They look so cool i'd use one! As for the "dragonfly" Do they count as wasps or Waterstriders?
This thing interests me the most though. Taken from @Portergauge

I love all of those creatures a lot, but I’m really digging that tallstrider model, it’s cool we got wyvern foxes, but as for the polar bear, I knew it!!

Re: Beta 10.0 Beast Thread
just been going through various preview vids and found a few more animals. idk if they have been posted here yet. it was kind of hard to get a good pic since they were from dragon riding vids but so far this is what I have found.
looks like a possible new bear model
And then the ones i'm less sure about being new info. One of the ox-like things previously posted seems to have a variation without the big horns.
There is also a possible new owl. looks like it could be the brown warden owl but i think the colors are different and the "face feathers" could possibly be horns. not sure.
(edit) forgot to add that they showed an updated rhino

Yooo that's a sick rhino!
I hope some of these new models keep the big sizes.

Re: Beta 10.0 Beast Thread
(I know right? such a upgrade. )
Also found this lil guy just now on the Evoker gameplay vid. (yeesh those guys are squishy) looks like a bluejay!
It didnt seem to attack when it got knocked off its rock, so it may just be a critter. but it seems to be using the humming bird model from ZM

Re: Beta 10.0 Beast Thread
Hornswog is such a dumb name, and I love it. Toads are still tenacity, but I don't care since Animal Companion is a thing that is MANDATORY (for me).
"Flowerpine" and "Frostmaul" posted above are great. It's good to see some love for the porcupines.
"Waking Duck" is excellent, and I'm glad we're getting a hybrid of the most vicious bird (Cassowary) and the predator-in-an-NSFW-way bird (duck). The ultimate criminal.
I am absolutely digging the Kirin, Bull Moose, and Primal Tallstrider mounts, and I WANT A PRIMAL TALLSTRIDER PET OH GOD. It's like a flightless pteranodon, and I love me some failed lizard birds.
EDIT:

Yellow hornswog. They look great in motion.

I'm digging this version of the bull moose. I assume this is meant to be the female version due to the lack of antlers, and I love how it looks like a rhino/elk hybrid.

https://www.wowhead.com/beta/npc=191204 ... t-yearling
Found some of the "Kirin" enemies. Dragonkin right now, so be vocal!

Unrelated to pets, but WHY CAN'T THIS BE THE DRACTHYR MODEL? God this looks so cool.

Re: Beta 10.0 Beast Thread
Sorry, I'm about to crash, I've been up all night and have tweeted pics of things I've tamed along the way. I'll dump some of them here:
Armoredons look amazing. So wicked! They're currently Clefthooves but will probably be changing to Scalehides soon.
New mammoth, including a baby one that is probably not mean tto be tameable:

Flowery tameable porcupines in at least three really lovely colours:
Beavers are also tameable as rodents and they're enormous:
Bruffalons are those horned moose and are tameable as stags:

Tameable icy bear named Frostjaw:
And a few more colours of the same model, which aren't currently tameable, sadly:
And some tameable icy-coloured spiders:
