Didn't Rare Elites stop being elite once you killed them the first time (per week or day,) Did I imagine that or did they just stop doing that a while back and because it didn't matter at the time I just didn't notice?

Some types of rares would no longer be rare permanently or just for a day, but now they will all keep their status and will either no longer drop special loot ("rares" that are almost always up) or will only drop loot for the first time you killed them for that day.

To bad this is no longer the case. It'd let us tame so many more unique mobs.
