I saw that some people have managed to tame this creature but i havent found any info on the spawn timer for it. Does anyone have any idea on the spawn timer for Vaniik?

I picked him up on one of my hunters, have no idea of the spawn timer but I just sat there few a few hours and eventually he popped up. Sorry I can't give you much more info than that, but I can confirm he is tameable and does appear.

No problem at all, i actually discovered that the Aylaag Camp has to be stationed near the river nearby for him to spawn so that might help people down the road. Question for you though, how did you go about taming him? I tried a couple of different ways but ended up killing him instead. How did you get the tame to work for you?

Huh, that's odd as I didn't have to do anything special. My character wasn't 70 if that makes any difference, but I'm pretty sure I just flew up into him to grab aggro, landed, then channeled Tame Beast as usual.

Its possible you are very correct. Did he stike you with the lightning at all?

I do think my issue was i was in the middle of a quest so i had an added NPC who was attacking it. Im hoping he shows up again as i completed the quest without the NPC but no idea on the timer for it. The camp is here for 3 days so we shall see.

Ahh, I don't remember (this happened back in January), but I expect nothing out of the ordinary happened because it was such a basic and easy tame, the hardest part was waiting for him to appear!

Escorts are always tricky when it comes to tames though, I hope your next attempt goes smoothly!

Just got Vaniik with no problems. Im a happy Hunter today, easy as you said Vephriel.

Does he retain his name?

Vaniik spawns only when Aylaag Camp is in River Camp, and sadly, doesn't retain his name.
