Sorry, I only got back to check messages now or I would have added that there's a full Wowhead list here that would have helped you: https://www.wowhead.com/npcs/beasts?fil ... 7871#0+7+9

But that's great for now. I was going to double-check levels and subzone locations but decided that's overkill for now, considering none are tameable. If they ever become tameable I can add more info when we re-check them.

Thanks again!
No problem! Figured I would just go in manually lol. Been loving the expansion so far so I have been playing a lot.

The bat family deserves something, considering we're in a cave within a cave within a cave. Deepflayers are certainly a good choice, and I still hold hope that the Haranir's bat form becomes a beast we can tame eventually (druid forms always have a source form, after all!), but I'm worried this incredibly prime chance to finally give love to bats is going to be wasted. Oh well, at least bats got the coolest named mob; The Ringing Death. What a good name, even if it's tied to the ugly Shadowlands bat model.

Also, note, if you tame Tephratennae as Marksman (and presumably) Survival, it doesn't disappear when you tame. So you can tame it multiple times then kill it. You have to summon another pet, then dismiss it between tames though, as Teph is set as your active pet when you tame. I really wish they did this for every single rare that drops loot cause it would solve literally every complaint about hunters taming rares.

It's also inaccurately labeled exotic right now, despite being a wasp, so even though you can tame it as MM/SV, you can't use it.

Not a new beast, but a new case of model changes, I just noticed the legion dreamrunners like Somber Dawn now have a static no animation attack. When dreamrunners got new colors in shadowlands, they got a second attack animation 'attackfist1hoff' which is a swinging horn animation while older legion dreamrunner colors only kicked which made them look a little more lifeless compared to shadowlands ones. This means that legion dreamrunners will also have that swinging horn attack in a future patch, for now we have this WIP

Thanks! I've reported the exotic tag, so hopefully they'll fix that soon!

Honestly, we're overdue for a good croc model. The cata models were okay, but the weird choice of adding fins and the lack of color options really hurt. Also, obligatory;

I would love to see tall crocolisks and basilisks some day, at least give them longer necks, tails and legs, that would be cool, imagine them running on fours with the front arms retracted and they punch or scratch enemies with the front limbs, but yes crocolisks are overdue for a new model and rig

With the new mounts from the Trading post I'm holding out for it!
Imagine if they gave us one with all the gold on it.

Also question, is anyone else finding it hard to keep pet aggro? They seem to not be able to hold it well anymore.

I'm finding Growl to be less effective too. :( There were some elites I was fighting in Hallowfall that seemed IMMUNE to growl at all, it didn't do a thing to keep them off of me. Overall it's definitely harder for my pet to tank it feels.

In TWW Pets have become much squishier than ever, especially lesser dragonkin, they die very quickly compared to other pets. During dragonflight, my pet usually stays on 90-100% health when dealing with random mobs, now they reach around 70% health without using mend pet, I guess the leech nerf got our pets good

Yep my pets, even my clefthoof is really taking a beating. I miss how tanky my cloud serps were. I sure hope once our armor gets better they get a buff from that.

It's because most elites ARE immune to growl in War Within. I genuinely don't understand it. Hunters are made squishy because we have pets to tank for us, and then they do this, and it's just ???

Then there's people who don't know it's immune to growl and scream and curse out the hunter in General Chat for letting the mob kill them.

The funny part is, even though Mend Pet is now 75% with the talent, it doesn't even feel strong enough.

I am known for ragging on how leech was king, but i'm finding my leech pets kinda useless since the leech is so low now.
Now tank pets are king for the cheap 20% hp boost.
I have to sort of, Set my pet on the boss with misdirect, then run away and the second it dies start casting a rez, rinse repeat (Sv hunter) Otherwise I just get slapped around WAY to hard since pets can't really grab aggro back.

Pack Leader has been helping my pet stay alive as Survival, and I believe Pack Leader is even better as BM. Pack Leader has a passive called Den Recovery which heals an additional 20-25% health on Mend Pet and ADDS 20-25% health restoration on Survival of the Fittest and Aspect of the Turtle. I can still comfortably do some big pulls, but Mend Pet has been much more important this expansion than it has been in a while. The leech nerf certainly hits hard but I also think enemies hit much harder as well.

In case anyone needs it:
/cast [@focus, help][@pet] Misdirection
Two-in-one macro for casting Misdirection on a focus target or, if there is no focus, on your pet.

Is pack leader actually good and impactful for survival spec, it affects the survival rotation, but is it worth the price, I went with sentinel due to it not interfering with survival spec, should I make the change if it’ll keep myself and pets alive more

I'd argue that Pack Leader has less to worry about since you can't screw up something like Lunar Storm placement. It does encourage Kill Command spam to get the most out of it sometimes, unfortunately. Tbh I just played it like normal Survival and did fine, it's likely to get adjusted and the extra self-healing is incredible.

I'm currently playing Survival with Wowhead's Sentinel Low Key build, and I've only died to two things; killing myself in dumb ways (disengaging when I'm on the titular ship in The Dawnbreaker and using Harpoon on the last boss in the Rookery, for example), or my group in dungeons having awful tanks and healers who can't do their simple jobs. Careful pulling and taking my time has been enough to let me do any overworld content outside of fighting rare elites, which I will not attempt to solo again until I'm in full raid gear. I am using a tenacity pet for the health (and also because I'm a proud owner of a babymander), and I'm making sure to keep mend pet active has led me to having a fairly smooth experience since official launch. Survival does too much damage for pets to hold aggro over, so I don't even bother having growl on anymore. Step aside, lizard friend; I'll tank that mob.

I want to go back to Beast Mastery, but I don't want to be worthless dead weight in dungeons. They screwed BM over so badly, and I miss running around with two pets.

Since ferocity got nerfed, is it worth picking up tenacity pets now for content in general, like dungeons, soloing and raids, I tried PvP with fetid it sucked. But aside from PvP, does tenacity compare with the extra health and the + increase health healing button to ferocity’s leech, ferocity is great if no class in your group has a lust button
