Same here, i opened a ticket to a gm, hopefully we will get the answer by the evening..

the ice elemental looks pretty cool and kinda makes more sence when you think about it why would a big ice guy drop a fire pet? i can see you buying it but from a huge ice guy not so much.

Maybe they will move it to vendor's items like they did with the wisp mini-pet? (I remember the time when you had to visit the fires in different dungeons to get it, I did it solo with invisibility pots and FD at lvl 60, was lots of fun.)

At least I hope so, as I saw it drop only once last year and lost the roll.

Apparently the Scorchling has been retired and bag you get from the daily has a chance to drop the little ice pet along with the Scythe.

However, it seems the Scorchling isn't coming back. =( (Thankfully I got mine last year. >_>)

That really frustrates me! I've been farming for the little guy every single day since Ahune was out and my RNG luck is just quite rotten. The bag system is frustrating enough with only one try a day, and now they got rid of him? Ahh it's too much. :p

I've been looking around at comments hoping to prove otherwise. Some on wowhead about the bag drops are like this:

"the scorchling does drop bag from forums ive read, the spirit of summer is the pet u can buy"

"They merely balanced out the pets for the event since it is Fire and Ice themed. Both pets are a part of the Holiday drops now, its a matter of daily RNG which you get though."

I really hope it's still around.

On my first run, a friend got the new pet from his bag. No sign of the scorchling yet.

MMO and Wowhead users have been saying that the scorchling drops in the bag, but I haven't seen anyone post and say "yes, I had one drop for me." >_<

I usually don't do the seasonal thingies, so I didn't know that. I just hate the torchthrowing so. Damn. Much.

Yeah, it's a totally different pet. The spirit looks like a red wisp.....which is cool, but it's not the scorchling. >_< It's such a tease!

unless the scorchling is from the flower vendor, there's no scorchling, but now the ice-elemental pet :\

Well, one of the recent comments from Warcraft Pets was:

"Guildie did Ahune & the boss dropped the Scorchling & his bag dropped Frigid Frostling."

Perhaps we're not out of luck yet? I suppose we can only wait and see.

Yes, there were some comments on MMO-Champion about the Scorchling still dropping, too. <3
