Molten Front Rares at 80?

Can they currently be tamed? I've tried everything short of getting a friend on a low lvl alt to knock Deth'tilac's health down. I've killed him twice today 
Once in warmode and once with it off. And I killed Banthalos too. Sheesh! And this is naked with a lvl 3 weapon.
What almost worked was just removing the weapon entirely and punching Deth, then disengaging to avoid his Dethstrike but that got him to 22% then one more punch killed him. I don't want to keep wasting spawns for myself and any other hunters who want to tame these rares.
