I'm sooo happy!!!

I was going to wait until Cataclysm, but I decided why not go ahead and look for Loque now? So I have been making my loop around Sholazar at the beginning of any hour that I happen to be online, if I'm able to. I went around at 10:00 am on Twisting Nether today with no luck. I was able to go again at the 11:00 hour but it was actually 11:17 by the time I realized it. I figured, if he has even spawned he'll surely be gone by now. But then I saw it - the little yellow dot for Loque'Nahak amidst the gorillas! I had also decided to go clockwise instead of counter-clockwise like I had been doing, and found him in the very next spot that I flew to (which would have been the last one, had I gone my usual way.)

I flew down, looking around frantically because I couldn't find him right away. No one else was around. I had to quickly abandon my new wolf from Mulgore, and I was really sad to just let him go so far from home. But it was either him or Nuramoc, and I haven't really bonded with Nuramoc yet, but I know the wolf will be easier to get again later if I want to. So then I laid my trap but Loque wandered out of reach of the tame, so I said, forget the trap and just walked up and hit tame!

I will admit I got very lucky, as I haven't been looking for nearly as long as some people do. I honestly think TN must be a good server for this. I've found and tamed Humar, Nuramoc, and Rak'shiri without searching for long and without any griefing. I don't say this to brag or make anyone feel bad, so I hope it doesn't come across that way. I just really think it might be my server - we must not have too many BM hunters, or not many looking for Spirit Beasts, or griefing those who are looking for rares (BM-only or otherwise). There definitely are a lot of stupid people on here as on any server though.

I also hadn't quite gotten the hang of NPC scan yet, or I was relying on it the wrong way, because even though I found him it gave me no kind of warning. I'm pretty sure I didn't have the sound muted. Anyway I'm just really glad I decided to start paying more attention.

I love him so much! Now I need to think of a really special name for him. Here are some pictures just after taming - sorry the first one is a little blurry, I guess I was excited. How do you think we look together???





And when we got back to Dalaran I wanted to get a screenshot of him with me in my PVP gear, since BM is mainly my pvp spec.

Grats!!! Loque'nahak looks pretty darned good no matter who he's with, but I will say he looks quite nice by your side.

Glad you were able to find him without much trouble or time, and hopefully you two enjoy each other for a long time.

If you don't delete your cache then it wont go off. The reason is that you will run into some other hunter that has tamed him and this will disable the alert for him.

You don't actually have to physically see him. All it takes is one hunter somewhere in Daralan to have him out and it will give you message saying pet found in Daralan instead of Sholazar basin. Defiantly a pet.

I had same rough problem, except mine wouldn't go off at all. I had found an Azeroth rare spawn (Timber,) and it wouldn't trigger, so I deleted my cache (After a good half hour exploring my computer...) and deleted it. Then it worked fine when I did a test run. Just waiting for a wild rare to show up.

You know,that's kinda like how my tame of Loque went as well. Riding around his spawn points,100% sure someone else tamed him or killed him for that damn achievement...and then Bam! There she was,waiting for me!

I spent weeks searching for him to avail. I had finally given up figuring that was one pet I was never going to find. I was short on Eternal Fire so I went steam cloud hunting and mining since I was flying around. I was at the north part of the basin near the mammoth bone yard when I saw him. I tend to have better luck finding spirit beasts when I'm actually not looking for them
