Yes, the Slicer and the Red-foot Rats were there in the last build and will likely remain unattackable and untamable.

Ooh nice, so happy to see all these looks become tameable and easily accessible, I had a gut feeling the nesting rats would get more variants

I also saw the auburn rat in the packs of Nesting Rats but neglected to get a photo. After killing them for almost a half hour I can safely say that the white lab rat version isn't spawning with this mob set, or if it is I have incredibly bad luck. Radioactive rat is still untameable as well, so it looks like the only missing colors are white and lime.

You don't need to kill mobs on PTR to see all their skins; hover your cursor over its nameplate when you're targeting it and press F6 over and over.

Also, hell yeah rats staying! Hell yeah more crabs for the crab patch! Hell yeah more hyenas! Keep the ball rolling with those new flags, Blizzard!

Yeah, that's been a feature in PTRs since... I dunno, Cata? At least Cata. It's not blatantly obvious though, so it's no wonder you missed it. Tooltips say you can press F6 to report bugs for specific mobs, but there's absolutely zero indication that it can cycle through models too. Real handy hidden feature for when you spot a new mob!

Good news, the bombshells have shrunk to a more reasonable size, still mechanical, i hope they stay that way. but im still happy they made more npcs for the hyenas so we can easily access them all, and the new cave crabs look cool with their combos

It took me a while to realize my bomb crab was smaller lol. I wish they'd become crabs though, because I need that shank on them.

I forgot about that part, I wonder how the shank looks on the new crabs, the crab shank bugs me on the older crabs because the knife sits above the claw

Had to do some blasphemy to get a proper screenshot (taking away animal companion), but this is what the crab shank looks like on the cave crab. It has a weird animation though; the knife moves up into the upper part of the pincer from time to time lol.

The Crusty Litterpicker uses several variants, including the black, green & brown, Pearl & black, and Pearl & brown variants.

For the Cave Crabs, here's all the color combos they have;
- Crusty Litterpicker, found in the sewers next to rare mob S.A.L.:

- Flourescent Trashpicker, found in the sewers at Hovel Hill;

- Rusty Trashnester, found in the sewers at The Vatworks south of Incontinental Hotel;

Two of them use the same color, and I put in a report for both saying that ONE of them should have the green skin changed to have a different shell color. Not a bad assortment of colors, at least. The blue one really stands out.

I really like the black crab/red eyes combo, it reminds me of a vampire crab I had in college.

I really love those crabs, I am not too big of a fan of the older crabs we have in wow, but I love these new models, both the bomb and the cave variants. I still like the regular model to a degree, I own a rare red stone with blue gem, but I can’t wait to tame all of them this patch provides. The black cave crab looks like a great fit for a dark ranger, and I like the blue and yellow combo, reminds me of tamatoa from Moana, I gave that crab this name, and it will get it on live for sure. Karkinus and George are exciting too with their cool attachments, I suggest they nerf the anchor size if they could for the pet, if that is able to work since it’s an object. But hooray, I call this patch Undermine(d), the crab chronicles. I hope they add more bomb crab color combos on the next ptr update

It really is the crab patch. Granted, crabs haven't been hurting for options, but these new models are spectacular. I honestly didn't expect the cave crabs to be flagged, but I'm glad they were. After fiddling (heh) around on the ptr, I'm definitely grabbing one of the red ones as my pick. I just wish the bomb crabs had more looks, even though the one we have is close to the perfect combo in my eyes. Sure hope the red crab with red bomb gets in. Would be fitting as a replacement for one of the two current bomb crabs. Karkinus is the most outstanding of them all though, because I love pets with needless junk slapped on. The anchor being so huge that it clips into the ground is perfect too, and countering your hopes, I hope the anchor stays stupidly big. Give him the crab shank, and you have a pet fury warrior.

Yes! My favourite hyena combo is tameable!

I'm so glad the cave crabs appeared in this patch! They look so cool. Hoping we see even more before launch, but it's hard to know how close to finished this latest build is.

I would hope the patch isn't close to launch. There has been very little raid testing (if any?), and considering the raid is their usual major focus, I fully expect us to not have the patch until mid February at the earliest. Even then, that's way too soon, but considering how short the ptr was for Siren Isle... Either way, the only things that matter are that we got most of the new models as pets, and that our lurker hears our pleas for more color combos to be sprinkled in.

They can't. We are supposed to tank them with our face, I guess. People in the bliz forums tell us to kite them, but good luck trying to kite in an underwater delve or the one with the candles. Also elites with short leashes and tightly packed areas where mobs are too dense to kite around.

We need to get on the Bliz forums in numbers they can't ignore and ask for our pets back. I started a petition on ipetitions, but most places won't let me post the URL. Hunter discords are too full of pet hating elitists telling us to change to BM or SV, even though most MM hunters hate playing those specs. It is disheartening after 20 years of collecting pets to see this being tried for a 3rd time by bliz. I know people who said they will unsub due to this, but I guess that makes the end game types who only care about dps happy.
