This will likely need to be broken off into its own section of the forums, but there are a few new things that I saw in the Forever reveal

I don't know how involved I'll be in Forever, but definitely is interesting.

Three of those are druid forms for the Voi- I mean Skyborne Elves, but I would love that goofy hippogryph owl to be a pet. Those are some crusty models for the first three forms though, so I hope they're just hiding the HD models for later. They look better on the preview image from Wowhead at least. I don't have a lot of high hopes, and I'm definitely not buying the pack to test early or to play a race (what is that garbage lmao), but I'll give the game an honest try.

I think this is going to be the first time I’m giving classic a chance. It looks very promising. I bet there will be tons of cool new beasts to tame. Maybe and hopefully they’ll lift some taming restrictions for this one

Meh. I am not really into paid Bluedelves. But I'll probably give it a chance.

It appears that Slyvern are in the new Hyjal zone. Potential for tameable feathermanes.

I've felt for some time that major Retail patches have received less attention than in the past and it's very clear behind the scenes that staff are being moved on to their next project quicker than ever before, with less opportunity to go back and fix their stuff. Don't get me wrong, Midnight 12.0 was a beautiful release, I'm referring to .1, .2 (including TWW, especially K'aresh) content. Whether or not you enjoy 12.1, it's very apparent they've (had to) cut corners wherever they could, both with the grind systems and the graphics and added zone design. I presume work on Forever is the reason.

The new models are intriguing and seem quite lovely. But having watched the presentation I unfortunately still have no interest in playing Classic+, whatever its new label. I was expecting what we saw today, and had already started reassessing whether WoW is still for me, and whether my subscription and play time could serve me better spent elsewhere. I haven't decided yet. Honestly, I know for sure that if it wasn't for Petopia and WCM giving me a reason to stay, I would have stopped subscribing to WoW a couple of expansions ago.

Having said that, I'll try to get the new models uploaded ASAP.

Those Slyvern are actually in the new Skyborne starting zone, the Zephras isle. I think they also have umbraclaws and new owlcats along with those new birds. The owlcat mounts and decor are concvincing me to go for this new race, same for the Druid forms

I feel you Wain. Sometimes I question whether I should still have my subscription or not, but it seems this new stuff makes me want to stay engaged with wow as a whole even more

There is a short on YouTube posted by Blizz that shows the new cats running with a hunter, so they are both used as a Druid form and just a normal mob.

@Wain I completely agree. One of the things that was said by Blizz when Classic was first announced several years ago is that the development of Retail wouldn’t be hindered or harmed by Classic, but I feel that both as they have chosen to invest more time and resources into Classic/Classic+ and have been wanting to stick to an eight week patch cycle, it has been inevitable that Retail has taken a hit. I mean, this can be seen clearly by comparing Sky Elves to the last two races added to WoW. Yes, Sky Elves are just another recolored elf, but they are at least getting a starting zone and actual reasons why they would join the Horde or Alliance, whereas Earthen and Haranir are just thrown in.

Browsing the various videos on the official World of Warcraft twitter account, there's a brief moment where a Skyborne defeats an Amirdrassil owlbear. Press kit also shows an Argus mana ray over Dalaran. So many random picks from wholly different eras lol.

They killed my fave private server for this....
I have very mixed feelings. Like... Wtf sky elves?
IDK. I guess I'll have to wait and see what else is shown/said.

First, and as always, I apologize for my poor English.

Second, I also apologize for going off on tangents and not focusing on pets.

Third, this is something I completely identify with: none of the Classic variants appeal to me. I want to play retail, and the feeling I'm left with (especially after implementing the removal of restrictions like the unlimited transmog type) is that, honestly, "for what's left of retail, have fun, we don't care." And I personally believe that after TLT there's nothing. I mean, I don't think there will be any expansions, any new lore, that WoW will end up like D4, with new seasons every few months, rotating Mythic+ dungeons, and a few other things.

The Owl in the demo has the ability called Mine! that disarms, can't wait to see what pet abilities were changed. :D

I'd be a casual in WoW Forever if only to see the Hunter and pet experience. Part of me yearns for when you pick a pet, you really invested your time and care into it, including always running the risk of it getting upset and running away. But I have no idea if Blizz decided to still streamline it with QoL changes we've had over the years, like standardized stats, and auto-levelling to your level etc.
