okay so with cataclysm and new pets on the border it seems that hyrdras might become tameable since they have the proper animations such as swimming and such and they are very popular ever since the ghost hydra.
but there is a problem azshara hosts the only known orange hydras in game and its schedualed to be redone for cataclysm!
time is ticking and we wont know until the beta if they survive but these hydras are in danger! and they are beasts already so that makes this even more urgent!

A possibility for tameable hydras? Yes please!!
While looking at hydras at Wowhead, I noticed that the majority of them are listed under "Uncategorized", so there could be the possibility of getting more tameable mobs and possibly more skins, if Blizz changes them. Unfortunately, the only orange hydras are the ones you mentioned... and they have such lovely skins! Let's hope this particular group of hydras migrate.

ah yes i would love those hydra's.. after all we all know how much i love hydra's but it's shame that blizz might be getting rid of the only tameable mob

I agree, and was about to post the same thing. Are they revamping the zone? Yeah, but it's still AZSHARA, as in named after the Naga Head B*tch, as in water, as in I've got a feeling they'll still be around.

Pet hydras yes please <3
I have the ghostly one and I don't think I'll ever get rid of it but,
I'd still like a few more models other than just this one and to have them available to everyone once more.

Let's not forget the rare purple hydra in the Barrens. Come Cata, it too may disappear unless if the oasis outside of WC will not be touched.

But yes, one hydra for me, please. They look so awesome.

WC oasis is basically untouched, just raised by magikal drood powers to keep it from falling into the lava.

Don't worry, those skins will still be in the game.
