I am having a problem with the site not remembering me even after I check the box to do so at the login screen...

I am having no other problems with any other site that keeps me logged in.

It seems like the "Remember Login" thing is on a timer and after an hour or so it forgets who I am.

Cookies are enabled.

Hmm, I've never had problems with this site. At home I haven't had to log in for....well, I can't remember the last time I needed to input my information. It's been saved since day one I think. o.O

I don't think it's something on the forum end, so maybe it's a setting in your browser or something?

If you load too many pages on the forums too rapidly, the anti-SPAM system will boot you. Do you have the forum open in multiple tabs in your browser?

Really? We have an anti-spam system? Huh!

Sorry -- I'm still not incredibly familiar with this software. And at this rate I never will be. I should have written the bloody thing myself -- then it wouldn't be done yet and we wouldn't have any of these problems.

Edit: Egad, I sound bitter. I'm sorry. Just a bit frazzled today. I'll see what I can find out about the login stuff but it may be a while, so any suggestions are welcome.

Oh, that's odd. I always browse here in multiple tabs. Especially first thing in the morning when I'm going back to see all the posts that were replied over night. I open everything up in its own tab rather quickly, but I've never been booted. x)

Well, I opened three tabs at the exact same time. And the forums have an anti-SPAM thingie. It won't let me post rapid-fire.

That would be awesome. And scary.

It has to do with your browser's cookies. It means that either your browser is blocking the cookie or it's set to clear cookies.

I dunno, I've accepted all cookies from the forums and I still get booted from time to time. I don't mean often, but it's happened... 3-4 times since we moved here, I think. I do also quickly open unread posts in new tabs, but I have only noticed getting booted while doing that once, so I never assumed there was a connection. >.>

It could very well be that you accidentally refused a cookie if it's a consistent thing and you always have to log in though.

And that's me being no help at all.

You probably use a security suit or antivirus that not only kills viruses but clears out your cookies and stuff as well.
