BIG stable changes! VERY Image Heavy

I'm not sure why but I got into this odd mood while on my alt ally hunter Jobiensis in a random dungeon where I felt that I really do need a wolf. I'd been wrestling with it for a while anyway but finally thought out who would go and who would stay. I had a dungeon quest turn in and had to pass through Felwood on the way and decided to tame a diseased wolf from there. I tamed one and got it caught to my level. I liked it but just wasn't feeling it with this wolf and the diseased skin. Red colors seem to go really well with my little alt ally hunter so I decided to head to the Badlands to see if I got really lucky and Barnabus was up. I get to his first spawning area and didn't see anything resembling a worg. I start looking at red dots on my map and see a name I'd never seen before. Zaricotl. :o I'd NEVER seen this bird before. So I figured ................ why not. I released my diseased wolf set the trap and ding, tame made. I kept his (?) given name.

After taming him (?) I still went and finished my looking for Barnabus. Of course he wasn't there. I sit and think that I still need a wolf but I'm keeping the bird. A ride up to the Loch and trade out Zaricotl for Dishu. I'm 99.9% sure Dishu is safe. I am not sure what brain cloud was happening but I flew to the Searing Gorge instead of the Burning Steppes, mounted up and began to run around. I start thinking to myself "Where the hell are the wolves. Just spiders." I keep riding cause I'm just sure there's a wolf around here somewhere and all the sudden my Silverdragon goes off scaring the bahjesus out of me. I turn my mount to see Rekk'tilac right in front of me. I'd also NEVER seen him (?) in the wild. Never ever. I don't waste the chance and release Dishu and tame Rekk'tilac who also kept his given name.

All the sudden the epiphany hit where I was. /facepalm So here I am in the Searing Gorge now with a new spider pet and still no wolf. Once again I mount up, hit the FP, fly to Stormwind and drop my new 8 legged friend off at the stables and took out Snort. Shocker ..................... I know. He's on EVERY other hunter toon but one so I felt that this girl could go without him and he kind of didn't fit her anyway. Off to the Burning Steppes we go (for sure this time) and I find myself a little ember worg.

I named the worg Amber and changed it to female. Amber is a favorite stone /color of mine and it seemed to fit.

I am going to try my hardest to keep these three and give them a fair shot. These are all very abnormal pets for me. The two rares were completely stumbled upon and couldn't risk that off chance that I may not see them again. My issues with the worg is those HUGE bottom canines, wheezing and no howl. We'll see though.

New stable slots cannot come soon enough. Killin me Blizz! Gaw danged killin me!

Wow, those were big changes! Well I think all your new pets are great - the 2 rares are ones you hardly ever hear about (I know I've never heard of the spider; I think I knew there was a bird in the Badlands), and I also like the coloring on Amber! I have Old Ironjaw, so same model but in different colors, and to be honest I hardly ever notice his teeth. And I was considering trading him for an old world wolf model, but I realized I would miss that little head wag he does! I think of it like he's shaking off water or shaking flies away or something. I do wish he had a howl, though. I'd love it if the worgs had a lower pitched howl than the old world wolf models, just to distinguish them a bit. :) I hope you'll be happy with them and they'll feel like they fit with you. :D I had Snort as well, not as long as you, but I liked him and didn't want to let him go - however I did, to tame Alouette, my new clutchmother. I plan to get mine back and if you change your mind and think he should be with this hunter again, I'm sure you will find him!

Sounds like you had fun! I'm a sucker for taming rares, too. If I had more stables slots, I'd probably be a little less discriminating on which creature I brought into the fold. But right now I have to just admire them, and ride by.

I love carrion birds though, so I'd say Zaricotl is my favorite out of your bunch. :D

Wow! What a shake-up. I love your new pets though. <3

I agree with you on the worgs. I'd have one of the red ones if it weren't for those teeth. >.> I love that colouring so much though, I just might find room in my stables for one come Cataclysm. I think her name is perfect for her. :)

I've seen Zaricotl's close brother, Lord Condar, in Loch Modan a lot more than I've seen this bird. Congrats on your tames. You've earned them. I hope they'll keep clicking for you.

I'm sorry to say Amber didn't last long. Big teeth, to much wheezing and no howl.

But I'm loving my 8 legged friend. He's cute. Well, for a spider. Love his emotes. Tough time holding aggro on him but he does well.

Will be running with the bird tonight.
