Ok im not thinking this is a goat sucking monster but there have been too many of these things seen or killed to be just a single mutation. I think its a whole new twisted breed

Aye, Chupacabra's are basically made up. No escaping that.

I adore cryptozoology, it's always fascinated me.
I'd have to agree with Teigan on this one though. Just looks like a sick coyote.

Looks to me to be a coyote or a coydog with an extremely advanced case of mange. Mind you, I'm not discounting the existence of supposedly mythical beasts...but Occam's Razor does say the simplest explanation is usually the most likely.

Yha but why do they keep finding them. This is at least the 5th one they have killed...So why would so many animals have such a severe case of mange

Mange is incredibly, highly contagious. If there's one animal with it in a pack it would most likely spread to all.

Sarcoptic mange, which is what I would point the finger at in this case, is insanely contagious. Those little mites will travel all over, including from animals to humans.

It's easy enough to cure with prompt veterinary treatment.
Demodectic mange, on the other hand, isn't as contagious...but is harder to cure. My best friend had a German Shepherd with demodectic mange. Poor thing didn't see his third birthday. Seemed like nothing they did would kill those bloody mites.

I got interested in cryptozoology when I heard -- oh, twenty years ago -- about a piece of footage from the intro to some National Geographic show that showed a monitor lizard walking along a beach. They didn't think much of it when they filmed it, but some herpetologists claimed that it was a major undiscovered species. And we're not talking a small lizard either -- this sucker was like 6 feet long! But of course you can't hide a lizard that big -- someone is going to find it. And no one had in the past twenty years, so clearly it wasn't anything special.

(Mind you, I have no idea if that rumor about the National Geographic film was true or whether the linked discovery is even in the same part of the world as that rumor. I just think it's interesting.)
I am also, as you might imagine, obsessed with reports of living
Megalania in Australia.
