Aotona:
Polly, Flappers, Crackers... that's all I can think of now.

Uhk'loc:
Snowstorm, Primal, Frigid, BoomBoom.

Aotona:

Squawk, Scallywag, Yarr, anything pirate-y. Or Amitola, which means "rainbow" in I can't remember what language. Used for my eclipse dragonhawk, which I've had for ever.

As for Uhk'loc:

PowBlock, Thunderstomp, BoonanaKing (If you're a Charlie the Unicorn fan), Sleet

Being somewhat of an astronomy nerd, I've loved naming my pets after stars for many years. (This was way before WoW and their new spirit bear, just so we're clear!)

Normally I just pick a star name that sounds neat, like my Ghost Saber named Capella, but sometimes I pick one with special meaning; for instance, my Grimtotem Spirit Guide is named Sirius, after the Dog Star. (Yeah, I know he's a wolf...)

According to my sometimes-unreliable memory (and a little help from Wikipedia) Deneb and Rigel are both prime examples of Blue-White Supergiant stars. Rigel (ry-jel) sounds more like a birdy name to me than an ape name, and Deneb (I've heard this pronounced with the stress on either syllable) sounds like it would be good for an ape.

Something I started for pets: Take the common English name for the type of pet (cat, dog, etc) and then translate it into Hebrew. It usually ends up with an very cool-sounding name and has real meaning.

My cat's name is "Hatoul".

Though I don't have any desire to get Aotona for myself, I always thought that if I did tame her I would name her 'Treasure' after the little parrot aboard the ship between Ratchet and Booty Bay. It's the same model as Aotona, and a very fitting name in my opinion. ^^

Maybe a name of a famous pirate for your bird? like O'Malley, CalicoJack or Morgan (males).
Killigrew and Bonny were famous female pirates.
Or pirate torture like Keelhaul.
HempenJig is what they called hanging a pirate to death.

Uhk'loc. I named mine Jack. He made me think of Jack Nicholson at the end of the horror movie The Shining frozen and crazy looking in the snow.

For the treasure theme with Aotona, you could always name it Booty

The former Aotona on my main Huntress was named "Tanzanite", after the precious gemstone that either shimmers a light purple or a deep blue. Seemed to have fit the bill for whatever brief stint of PvPing purpose she served.

And as for the simply gorgeous Uhk'loc, also a former pet (after I discovered that Devilsaurs actually are more my thing than Gorillas), his named ended up being "Vojin", which means 'Protector/Guardian/Friend' in Serbian. The other name I was thinking of for him was "Qwaqwa", meaning 'Whiter than White' in African.

The Hyacinth Macaw uses the same body model. I was tempted with Hyacinth myself ;) Now I need to get one, as Pining is looking a bit broody ...

Edit: I had to forgo "Hyacinth" because of the British sitcom "Keeping Up Appearances". When I think "Hyacinth", I think "Bucket" (pronounced "Boo-kay") as well.

Haha, I love that show!

"Here you go, Mrs. Bucket."
"Bouquet!"

Sooo just as an insider joke.. calle it MrsBucket.. and make a pet emote saying its BOUQUET..
And a pet emote where u feet it a cracker and it ask for caviar?

Emote : MrsBucket starts to sing and (insert name of the hunter) tries to slip away without her notising it..

Emote: When ever you use call pet or change stable pet to switch to the bird it says " The Bouquet residense. the lady of the house speaking"

oki i stop now :D

Alot of fun emotes with that name :)

I always wanted a gorilla named Thorilla (thunder[stomp]=Thor + gorilla). I always pictured in my mind the Disney movie Tarzan where he's repeating, "GOR-IL-LA!!!", except saying "THOR-IL-LA!" Makes me giggle every time.
