Tamed in Mulgore, south of Thunder Bluff

According to Wowhead, yes, path's East to West just south of Thunder Bluff.

Mazz, according to the game is male. Or was, anyway. The Clutchmother is female. So, sure, it could happen. It would explain why all the Tauren are getting purple striders.

This is the best logic yet, tbqh. xD I'd have NO issue with purple tallstriders everywhere if that's who their parents were.

I still think Clutchmother is missing because she fled after the babies were born and dumped them on Mazz.
