Stray dog

Went up in the mountains on Sat with my dog, Fisher (3-legged black lab mix), cause it was a nice day. While up there, I found a dog walking down the dirt road, miles from anyone or anything. Po' girl had been up there for a while, she was skinny and covered in mud and dirt. Put her in the back of my Baja and took her home with me. Gave her a bath and some food, a lil bit of food at a time, don't want to overload her small body. She's still a bit of a puppy, maybe 6 months old.
I'm thinking of keeping her, she's really shy and timid, which makes me wonder what might've happened to her, but her sweet personality is coming out slowly and she's really a doll. I don't have a name for her yet, but my mom suggest Daisy, cause she's sweet like a flower lol. Any of you guys have any ideas for a name?

what a cutie she looks sweet. she looks like a... german shep/ and maybe aussie shep mix... daisy would be cute. i see her and think of Sweet Pea...

You know, that's what I was sayin too...cause I was gettin told to go up to the hills on Sun instead of Sat...but if I had, I wouldn't have probably found her XD But in the end, turns out I'm sticking with Daisy cause she's sweet like a flower heh.

Never ever ever ever ever! Never name a dog Lucky! Unless you want him to end up in the vet's office more times that you can count on one hand in under a year!

If you name her Daisy, you can sing this to her.... Yeah, I sing to my dogs cause they're the only ones who like my singing. ^////^

Hahaha! I mentioned Hal to my mom and she thought I was weird...then she apologized for dropping me as a baby lol

Not sure how things work in your part of the world, but best take your new pet to a vet and get them to scan for a microchip. Its possible she has some genuinely caring owners, but got lost on the mountains.
most likely she'll be better off with you though!

She's got an appointment with the vet today, so he can look then. But I also wanna make sure she's up to date on shots and stuff. I'm not gunna be completely keeping her, but mostly be a foster home for her til I can find her a loving home.
She's really opened up in the last couple of days, from very scared and timid, to loving and adorable. She jumped up into my bed this morning to give me some kisses. She follows me everywhere and is just a loving lil girl.

What a wonderful thing to do for that dog!!! I'm glad you kept her, you seem to really love her and she obviously loves you too. She's so beautiful, and those big brown eyes are just to die for. I hope you and Daisie enjoy many long years together!
