So I just finished my daily to try for my awesome polar bear mount... I didnt get it... so I decided to look for Skoll! not looking for any other hunters around...

Disk spot = nope

That one other spot = nope

The spot by the cave... SO I looked for another hunter (since I already have my Skoll) and guess what? NO LVL 80 HUNTER! only a 78... gahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh so I knew killing hi mwas worthless... so what to do... IDEA! since hes 80 I might as well get ride of mine and just make it the same thing and thats what I did :3

EDIT: I just refreshed for hunters... there are now 3 other 80 hunters.. GAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!

I want Skoll sooooo badly now!! I was looking for him last night near the disk,and of course he's not there..lol...so I left and did dailies with a friend. We wind back up in Dun Nilfhelm(sp?) and through the course of our dailies,we're flying over the spawn points in the ravine..you know,where all those harpies are.

NPCscan goes off..SKOLL!!...But I fudged up,and couldn't find him. I was alone now,as my friend logged off and went to lie down.
I'm swinging the camera all over the place,trying like hell to spot him. Then,I see him! I swoop in,hoping to....

Frost trap?!! Wha...huh?!

Yup,another hunter just got him/herself a Skoll..../sigh

I landed and /clap at her,/grats her and then leave,my heart aching.

Oh well,I think to myself as i head to K3 and then home,that's one less hunter looking for Skoll now.

Someday...Oneday....I'll have my own Skoll!

Is it wrong of me that when I though Blue I though GM? I was so exciting, especially since it's in Pet Discussion.

It would go like this:

"OH BOY! NEW TAMABLE GM! MIIIINE!" *scurries off to ready frost trap, and uses random leftover Krush gear to tame said GM. * >.>

GM? O.o what does that stand for?

Blizzard employees use blue text on the official forums. Is their ingame text also blue? It's been so long since I've actually talked to one. But, I've heard "blue" used in reference to them.
Can you imagine what special abilities a tamed GM would have?
Grats on your luck with the Skolls. You certainly are bolder than I am, releasing one Skoll to tame another. I would have been too paranoid something would go wrong and I'd be left with no Skoll at all.

You might as well of killed Skoll since you already had Skoll tamed(and weren't even keeping both), it would of netted the same result: no Skoll pet for another Hunter.....
I can't even begin to think how letting the Skoll you had go, so you can tame another, was a good idea.....

It seems you have found my Skoll, can you ship to Halcyre, Nordrassil EU? I'll pay P&P

If I had Skoll already, I'd have done what you did and ask other hunters otherwise I'd just leave him be. Nothing more you can do, even if someone else comes along and kills him, I just can't I can never bring myself to kill Spirit Beasts no matter how many times I see them wild and free.

A GM's Special abilities? This is obvious. Totally would be ferocity. Their focus dump would be Banhammer (Smites target for X amount of damage over X amount of time and deletes the creature, if creature is not an NPC.) Their special ability would be Patch Day (Crashes everyone on the server except the pet and his master, stunning everyone and making them lootable for 24 hours.)

Excuse me, off to go tame a GM.

Well one I would feel HORRIBLE! 2 hes not in the achivment 3 he dosnt drop anything of real use I ned need frostweave or the dagger... with the random enchant

There could have been a hunter of the other faction flying around after him, or a hunter could have flied by afterwards, for example. How is killing it more horrible than despawning it by taming it?

So just because some ally player killed your dino, you feel that it's justified to prevent, most likely, ANOTHER player from taming a blue lightningwolf?

it took 10 mins for another hunter to get here
also there was TONS of people flying around for the Drake so.. I didnt want to see my favorite pet get killed...

But you don't know if an ALLY player was there. There could very well have been someone camping for hours every day for a week or more, and you simply took away their chance. Even then, someone killing it and recieving loot is more useful than you simply causing it to despawn.
