I was watching totalbiscuits new movie and saw a HUGE green parrot flying in it at the point where he starts to fly on the gyrochopper. I have no idea if its tamable. But its really cool.

Ooh, you're right! It's at about 6:40 on the video. Definitely Aotona model, and definitely green.

I wonder if it will be tameable, or if it's just a large critter for detail.

If it's tamable I think I'm gonna have a new favorite pet. The Senegal is one of my favorite vanity pets due to being a parrot and to being green (the best color ever), and to have one i can fight with would be extremely epic.

Here's the rub though. If you note in the video, he's only level 7. By the time you're 10, you are well out of that phase and off that particular island.

Hm, that's true. Also I do remember reading that the goblin islands would get blown up or something at some point, getting all the wildlife there destroyed.

Yes, the goblin islands, Kezan and Lost Ilses, are impossible to revisit. i'll try to malke a point to get a hunter to 10 before anything starts to burn and take the long swim back to see if anything can be done with the bird.

You beat me to it by about 50 min.. Well anyway I want to tame it. Will we be able to go back to the Lost Isles? Will Alliance be able to go to the lost isles?

No one gets to go back to the island.

Every island you visit explodes, they joke about it wherever you go that "At least there aren't any volcanoes in Azshara".

It's a phased instance.

I saw the parrot on the video earlier too, and would of mentioned it if I hadn't fallen asleep...But I too hope this is tameable in some form in the game! Shame that it's not visitable (If that's a word) again by goblins or any race, because it's quite a pretty zone as I prefer the lighter zones. A green parrot would be a cool friend for Aotona!

I noticed that...I would want to tame one of those too, as long as it keeps flying after tame!

Yes. That's how I got a color-changing monkey. No stable master, though, so you can only take one pet with you.

Argh. The parrot is there, there is only one of them that I see, and it's pretty big -- about the size of my goblin. It doesn't look anything like any of the other environmental creatures -- seagulls and whatnot -- in the area, but it can't be selected and it doesn't show up under Track Beast. I have no idea what it's supposed to be for.

You are able to reach lvl 10 before leaving the island, thats how I tamed bananas.
If you do quests and especcialy the one with killing Naga's in it, you lvl pretty fast.
The only way to reach the monkey is to get back to the beach where you started.
Its a little walk but very doable.
The lvl you go from the island to Orgrimmar is lvl 13.
Thats when you have completed all the quests.

According to WoW Model Viewer and the database I send to wowhead, and wow heads database, there are only two with that skin, Nyuni, who is Hapana's Pet and "Lost Isles Mail Bird". Something to think about

i hope it is tamable.. My Sia (aotona) will have another big parrot buddy!

Bad news, everyone. Giant green parrots are untargetable background mobs.

Hilariously, they function as the post service, carrying in satchels and tossing them into the mailboxes.
