Has anyone in beta currently checked to see if the purple Spiders from Naxxramas are still tameable at 81?

Let me know ASAP; I've been waiting pretty much FOREVER to see a tameable purple spider! >_>

This is actually a very interesting question, I'd been wondering it myself a few weeks ago but it totally slipped my mind, here's hoping

According to Petopia, Dread Creepers aren't flagged as tameable on live, so I'm not sure where the "still tameable" part of the OP came from.

Mind you, I would LOVE to see this skin tameable; I'm just curious. Are they flagged as untameable on Petopia due to their level or their flag?

Actually, if you've ever used Beast Lore on the Dread Creepers (aka the purple spiders) in Naxx, chances are you'll see that they are in fact tameable, except that you have to be 81 or higher to tame any of them.

Having said that, I'd like to see if they retain their tameablility in Cata, assuming Naxx is open.

So if anyone could sneak in there on beta and give 'em a quick Beast Lore, that'd be great.

werent there also purple spiders in a cave in Northrend, were also a lot of blue ones are for a quest? I check it out if they are tameable with my beastlore^^

Sadly, the purple spiders in that cave are untamable. (I think the cave is in storm peaks though.) Thus why people are wanting to know about the Naxx ones, since they, unlike the cave spiders, are flagged as tamable (although 81) in live.

That's what I figured you meant! I was actually kicking myself last night while we were doing the weekly (Patch) because I wasn't on Kalli and couldn't verify. >_< I don't remember if I'd actually beast lored them myself when Naxx was properly endgame in LK, but regardless, as long as you've seen it, I believe ya! xD Just wanted to clarify, since (as was mentioned) the spiders in Storm Peaks are non-tameable for no apparent reason. It's odd; why block the actually tameable ones and leave the others to be protected by their level?

Anyway, I digress. It would be absolutely lovely if a beta tester could pop into Naxx and check them out.

(I wouldn't be taming one myself, as I love my fuzzy Orpheus, but MAN, I'd love to see these things running around with other hunters. They look positively shocking with that color.)

well I asked a random person in Dala to group with me and I got into Naxx.
But I'm not a raider so I dont know if they are in the beginning or further more in the instance.
Because I couldnt see them at the entrance .
And before I could check I was targeted by 10 little ones...feign death.
So I tried but havent seen one yet :/

They should be in one of the packs to the right or left of the entrance, but yeah, that pack of little ones is a killer. They'd need to be cleared first to even get the purple ones in line of sight...and even then, they might accidentally pull from one side or the other. >_<

EDIT: This is on LIVE servers. Not beta. I just wanted to clarify. I do not have a Beta key. But this proves that, as of now, they are tameable and worth investigating.

These seem to be the only 81+ pets I have in the DB. I'd love to get confirmation on any of them from the beta:

King Dred: Drak'Tharon Keep (Heroic)
Necro Stalker: Naxxramas
Venom Stalker: Naxxramas
Carrion Spinner: Naxxramas
Dread Creeper: Naxxramas

I think people would get angry if you tryed to tame king dred i know i would XD

I wouldnt, I could care less if they wanted to try - hes tameable so why not? I mean if the groups ok with it and it has been done before.

Yeah but i have seen more hunters who don't ask to tame pets then ones who do and then it makes all this mess and kicks etc and man theres some ones out there who think cos they can tame it their words lore etc
