Got a hunter premade copied over, went off in search of other new and unique skins and I think I found something!

happened across these guys while I was exploring Silverpine:




I'm not positive on this, but to the best of my knowledge these skins were previously untameable. Now they're available just a few levels after you get the tame beast, how great is that?

Wow, I love that these will be available at low levels. They're such awesome models! I'm definitely picking up that first one with the purple eyes.

It's such a wicked looking pose to have the spider drawn up like that on a ceiling. I can just imagine how creeped out arachnophobes are going to be. xD

It very much reminds me of the geists in ICC who wander the walls in the plague wing. It's just plain COOL.

Sadly I think it was only the Skitterweb Matriarch that roosted on the ceiling, and there was just the one of her. However I did notice spiders in Stonetalon Mountains that had a similar behavior: they stayed suspended in the tops of tall pine trees and used a slow descending animation when you pulled them. If you think spiders from above are going to creep people out then imagine how much worse it'll be when something unexpectedly aggros and you spend a second or two on a horizontal search before the spider appears in a more vertical fashion.

It's actually fine by me that it's only the matriarch up there; I might've had fits exploring there otherwise. >_<

Ack. I played Dragon Age: Origins, and there were parts where spiders would jump down from the ceiling and attack you. I'm arachnophobic, so I literally screamed as they ambushed me. My brother did too. After two times screaming in panic, we finally decided to keep an eye on the roof at all times to prevent further ambushes.

Aaah. I <3 Dragon Age.

Well it kinda does make scence theirs only one Matriarch XD
