I was lucky enough to see Arcturis today. I started to tame him and some nasty level 76 Night Elf Rogue dropped down just to kill him, teabag him, and then emote mocking things at me.

Really, what is wrong with people? There's no achievement. He couldn't tame him. He was just being a terrible jerk. I don't even understand that.

Report him to a dev, just say he was being rude and then started to sexually harass you/sexually harass a 'corpse' infront of you. And just report the name and all that cause tbh that is harassment.

And some people are just assholes and think they can get away with it.

I am sorry, I hope you get anothe chance at him soon. I hate that sort of crap, and it jsut seem all too common. I agree with Kyloriel, report him. At the very least it wont hurt.

As to why people seem to do this? Well, see John Gabriel's Greater Internet Cusswad Theory (foul language NSFW). That and a lot of people playing this game (and many other online games as well) forget about this small thing called empathy.

I did go ahead and report him. Hopefully I'll get a somewhat understanding GM. I know they can't just give me the pet, but it would be nice if they would at least give the nasty person a warning. It really was completely malicious and just being unkind.

That's terrible. I'm sorry you had to go through that. I'm glad you reported him.

The smallest of silver linings is that you at least have a respawn timer to go off of. :/ *hugs*

This sort of behaviour is unwaranted and degrading, makes you think that maybe the gene pool could use a little chlorine now and again, as the others have said, report as harassment and hopefully he will get a well deserved ban.

I wish you luck in the future and i hope you get to tame him soon.

I suppose that's true. I can go back in about 10-12 hours and hopefully he'll be back.

It varies a bit; I'd check around 8h at the earliest. 10 and 12 also seem like reasonable times to check. The longest timer I've seen for him is 22h. >_<

It's something, anyway, and it's about the only positive thing to come out of such experiences. :/

Well, I got a response, but it was just one of the "pre-made" GM letters. I think I was offline when I got answered. I'm not sure anything will be done, but even if the Rogue gets a warning about harassing and such, it might be worth it to scare him into not doing it again.

And I am keeping an eye on the timer. I'm going to head back at about 8 hours from the time the Rogue killed him and start camping. I hope I'll be lucky.

Well, out here at about Hour 11 from the kill. I checked at 8, 9, and been hanging out since 10. Cross your fingers that I get lucky and he respawns at 12 hours with no griefers.

He doesn't always respawn at full hours tough, he may as well respawn 11 hours and 53 minutes after he is killed. Your best bet is to simply take a few hours off and just camp him.

Yeah, I'm not trying constantly. I was doing some quests in the area anyway for the Loremaster stuff (Fo' Grizzle My Shizzle anyone?) so I checked around about once an hour.

I decided when it had been about 10 hours, I'd camp him for at least a few and see if I was lucky.

Does that reset his timer from 0 (so at least 8 hours until he spawns)? Or does he spawn immediately when it's up?

He can even spawn while it's down! Your best bet is to log off at his spawnpoint, and then be REALLY quick with logging in again.
