A chilling wind swept through the darkness, a tumbling breeze that wipped the snow into a whirlwind before settling back unto the thick blanket that already coated the ground. The pines leaves shivered from the unsually cold winter while darkness swirled and stirred in their twisted roots. The snow clung in clumps of glistening dew to the branches which creaked and ahced to be realeased of their heavy load. The moon was a silver sliver that could no longer break through the gloom.

The wind whiled once more carrying with it whisps of a shadow whose footsteps crunched lightly in the snow. A rustled and a shadow was dropped while white locks spread over the shoulders of black pauldrons. Skin darkened to purple in death was covered in night armor with silver swirls while a black cloak hid the figure of this spectacul. A quiver of leather and long arrows slung over the shoulder blade of this huntress who's bow was held in the tight grip of her right palm.
"Damn him," she cured low enough for the wind to cover her breath, "he is late and this is the place."

A low chuckle and she whirled around to face a cloaked figure who had a crossbow slung over his shoulder, of which was a neon blue color. The crossbow was encrusted with the flakes of snow which melted in the heat of the hunter's grip, the metal it was made from was fading at the curve which held the unmistakable indention of finger marks.

The figure removed his black hood which now revealed the face of a dwarf, his short stature only ran up to the woman's waist while his shimmering icy eyes held her crimson ones. His hair was black as pitch while his skin was tan from too much sun the armor he wore was black mail which made suprisingly no sound when he moved. The armor was a faded metalic black with gray outlining that held skuff marks and deep insicions.

"Sylvanas," the hunter said with a deep bow while a low growl rumbled behind him, "hush Azrael!" And the black lion materialized like a phantom out of the snow covered trunk of a tree. "I got what you asked for." He withdrew from his side pouch a golden parchmented scroll with a bronze ribbon around it.

"Wolf," the woman nodded her head in greating, her eyes darting over to the lion for a quick moment before returning to rest on the hunter. Her eyes widened at the sight of the scroll which she extended her hand to take, the hunter handed it to her gingerly. She smiled at the contents, "I am very pleased by this change in events, thank you Wolf."
"Aye, don't mention it." The hunter stated while he cracked his neck lightly, "just doin' what I can for my Queen." He smiled at her and she smirked back.

"Keep this up and I see a pretty position of power in your future," she pocketed the precious information before nodding to him. The hunter smirked at her before nodding and turning to walk back into the shadows. With a quick nod of the head and whistle the black lion lept to his side in a flurry of dusty white. "And Wolf!" The hunter turned to the huntress. "I need you alive, not half dead, get some sleep." And with that she disappeared into the gloom while pulling her hood up.

Wolf shook his head and walked into the night, the snow making no noise beneath his feet as the lion padded softly beside him, weary of the night and even the slightest noise. "Hush Azrael," said Wolf as he spotted the flicker of embers that ment his campfire was close, "we still have so much to do...."

Interesting start, really. :headbang:

Why would a dwarf call Sylvanas his queen? :?: :? :?:

If you have fun writing it, keep it up.
Writing is for having fun telling stories.

My guess is, going by the title, the dwarf is a traitor to the Alliance and has thrown his lot in with the horde.
