I noticed in this video the noises the fox makes. I'm hoping that its just the poor sound quality or maybe just at the wrong speed,but is there anyone in the beta that can please tell me the fox doesn't really sound this horribly annoying? Its at about 4:52 and it is really not pleasant on the ears.

Oh my. That sounds awful. I can imagine hunters taming them now, only because they annoy others in PvP...

they lack for sounds but they look awfuly cute, I might just not go for a fox though just because of the noise

Hell, they'd be annoying for melee classes in normal dungeons too...

My fox sounds pretty much like that. Only alot louder, and kinda squeaky sometimes when it gets smacked.

BUT sounds are really buggy right now on the beta. Sometimes I can hear a lock as if they're casting in my ear when they're well over 30 ft from me.

It does sort of sound like what most wolves make now only at a higher pitch and on speed. Its probably the bug, but I hope they change it. As cute as a fox is I'm not taming anything that sounds like the fast paced spawn of the joker and a hyena.

That's actually similar to the sounds a RL fox makes... It's going to be something similar to it, anyhow.

It sounds exactly like that (well put!) But there are some differences as well. Foxes sound real snarly. I can't hear the video's one that well, i really cant hear anything over the guy. But I do hear it lightly enough to recognize it sounding alot like the fox Im using.

But personally, I find it so cute, I look past it XD

Oh man, my friend played me a vid of what foxes really sound like, and it's really really creepy. I'm glad they don't sound that creepy. XD

Hell they aren't the worst pets, and they probably won;t be that awful tbh as I didn't really even notice anything.

But then again, I've tamed the worst.

Corehound + Gun = group hates you. I actually had that once too. Another group, the war just kindly complained all aw man you have the noisiest pet in the game D:

The sounds I have heard are more like a terrier/dog combo and for some reason their special attack sound is a howling wolf. I have the wav files but nowhere to upload. :p

It's a fennec fox, not a red fox, but damn it's so annoying XD

I'm leveling with a black fox in the beta and I've only noticed his sounds when I'm at melee range -- and not even much then. Mind you, I don't play with my sound up all that high because I am usually listening to music, but honestly until this thread I hadn't given his sounds a second thought.

What Video ?? I have yet to find anything about a fox. I clicked the link and I get Cataclysm Beta - Worgen 4 : Worglin (Levels 10-11) ..

Yes, and if you go to 4:52 you can hear his worgen fight foxes.

i think the real question is how on earth can you guys hear the foxes clearly with that guy talking so loud? i had my sound blasting and i could BARELY hear the fox at all because of him talking :|
