I mean seriously. Why?



If you can't tell, that's Ravage, Spiteflayer and Clack the Reaver. In one shot.

I've also downed the dragon 3 times on Embront.

Seriously, across 3 alts;

I have seen and or accidentally or purposefully killed;
Ravage: 4
Clack The Reaver: 5
Spite Flayer; 3
Teremous the Devourer: 7
Rare ogre: 3

But no boar.

Does Grunter even exist anymore live? I mean I know he's on beta but this is depressing.

I've never looked for him myself but I've heard horror stories of people camping him.

Usually old world rares are so easy to find considering no one goes after them anymore, but Grunter....he'll be a pain. ><

It seems he was such a pain in the ass he didn't spawn until I made a thread about him being a pain in the ass. Log onto Embront about 5 minutes ago, doing a sweep as I checked a couple hunters for another thread.

nice... all 3 in one spot... I also wounder if he lives I never never seen him live... or in Beta so yea I always woundered if he really dose live?

First off, EXCELLENT screenshot I love it. Now...

After reading all the horror stories about camping Grunter, and after checking it a few times last night, I was ready for a looong camp.

I looked around today and found Clack the Reaver, and found a night elf levelling in the area. Did /followme and /beckon and she obediently tagged along, I pointed out the mob and she killed it and thanked me. There was nobody else in the zone anyway, and I've never heard of a hunter camping for that scorpid, so I figured better a lowbie getting the loot than me.

Anyway, I had a guildmate mage port me to Stonard (I'm Horde) and I set my hearthstone there. I have the Argent Tourney tabard so returning to Dalaran is not really an issue. I popped back to the tourney, got my daily fishing & JC quests done, then hearthstoned to Stonard. Yeah it'd only been 1/2 hour or so but I'm impatient. I ran around all his patrol/spawn route, and when I returned to where I'd started, NPC_Scan actually went off Now to get back to Dalaran somehow and set hearthstone again...

I got him easily enough; tame lasted as long as the trap, so no knockback. I have always loved the Felboar model, so hoping it does change for Cata.

On the other hand... I have Skoll, who is a server-first tame and whom I did NOT want to abandon. Lord Lakmaeran, who is awesome and will be gone come Cata, and I refuse to abandon him either. I also have King Krush. 'Nuff said there.

The last two slots are now Soriid the Devourer and Grunter both. I had to abandon my WOLF

Granted, I'm BM, so Krush (who does do lower dps than my wolf with my gear) can substitute for raiding, but I LOVE the white worg. I'll definitely be getting him back come Cata, but not looking forward to have to level it again before levelling myself Perhaps I'll finally be able to rescue Ghost Howl instead of another worg. My Night Elf has Timber, my Amonkira was Death Howl. Goodbye wolfie, I'll be back for you soon. Ish.

Death Howl? I thought he was untamable?

That's Ghost Howl you're thinking of I mentioned him too because I've always liked him, and supposedly he's tameable on Cataclysm beta. But Death Howl's tameable--that's also a rare white worg, but Felwood instead

I ran into and tamed Grunter not 30 minutes ago, so he's definitely still around. Don't stress about it too much; you've got a good 3 or 4 months before 4.0 should hit.

I ran across him purely by chance within the past week, before the new look was discovered. It's all random!

Ack a bit image heavy- but if you didn't see I already grabbed him. As I said it seems it took me making a thread to complain about him being a pain in the ass, for him to finally spawn. My frustration wasn't really about his long respawn timer, but the fact I ran into All those other rares multiple times.

Congrats on the tame guys. Now if only he'd spawn for me. Slacker seriously.. I think I may have to get rid of one of my wolves now.. I think 3 may be an overkill but not too sure yet Ended up finding Ravage and tamed him, didnt like him so I got a white hyena thinking Ill just keep him until grunter spawns.. Then I liked her again.. which was interesting considering ive had that kind before and did not like her one bit. But now I do so go figure lol. Now.. the camping begins come maintence over.

The day before the whole "Grunter gets a new skin in cata" thread came uip, I saw him on The sargeras Server. I was considering taming him at that point, just because i have never seen him in thr 3+ years i have played, but decided against it because i didn;t have an empty stable slot. So, I tried to find another hunter who may want him. no luck, so I left grunter alone and went on my merry way. Ever since the thread, i have been kicking mysel in the @$$ for not egtting him. lol Oh well,I have somthing to hunt for now.

Got him last night at 11:30. Pretty nice to see him up and I actually really like him alot (my first pig to haha) I named him Kazuya. It fits. And if you guys can figure out why it fits, and why it will fit much more when grunter turns into a hell boar youll get extra points ^.^

The only thing that comes to mind is a form of organized crime, but the letters are all mixed up.

My guess would be Kazuya Mishima from the Tekken series, and how he turned into Devil in the second game.
