Okie doke. Azunara, reporting from Swamp of Sorrows. While Azerre the Skyblade may be gone, there IS a new, tamable, red wind serpent skin outside of the instance. They're called Hakkari Wind Serpents, and they're SE of the Temple. They are tamable, and they're quite a few of them.

No screenies because Azu's computer skill is 3/450, and I have no idea where they are.


EDIT: Just checked Blasted Lands (I had portaled there, immediately saw Grunter and tamed him. Go go luck on Beta!) and saw Clack the Reaver. Clack also has a new skin, http://www.wow-petopia.com/look/scorpionskinblack.html. He's also grown really bloody big.

Screen shots are easy. Just hit the print screen button on your keyboard. Then you can go into your programs file, into your Warcraft file, and get them out of the screenshots file.

Oh, okay. That's pretty awesome....Anyway, here's the picture of one of them.

Hrm. But Azerre had red wings... these (appear to) have the bronze ones. So they aren't the same skin are they?

I had the same train of thougt, spending a good five, ten minutes trying to figure it out. Eventually figured out that with SoS's lights, it's hard to base it on feather. Instead, I based it on the actual wing.

Notice how the wing is orangey-yellow? That's the skin that is NOT Azzere.

This one, notice the red wing shape there. It shares it with the Hakkari serpents found above. So, because the wing for Azerre and the new guy is red, you can tell it's the same skin.

They just bumped a level 25 skin up to level 51. :/

The clutchmother skin jumped 30 levels too.

At least the red wind serpent skin remains available outside an instance. It's also funny how multiple formerly rare skins have turned up as common in the Swamp of Sorrows.

SO... Blizz is taking rares and throwing them in our face as commons...

That seems an extreme way of putting it, honestly. They're taking skins that don't exist anymore in rare form (No one has seen Azerre, or Clutchmother, or Araga. All are unique/instance skins, hard to get.) and making it so they can get the skin. Do you really want to lose Clutchmother skin, or Araga skin, or making the Azerre skin a pain to get? I wouldn't.

The only thing I can see that would annoy is the Lupos thing. If there was a reason, or a special skin, I'd be for it. But a coyote you can get across a river to Westfall? Seriously?

I'm a little angry with Blizz for doing this to rares,but I have a theory as to why. Its a long shot,but its possible they want spirit beasts to be the new rare to encourage people to hunt them down. Maybe they have plans to add lots more. Even if this turns out to be the case its still horrible news since you'd either need dual spec or be BM for that specific kind of hunter fun.
