Just wondering what I should use as a pet for instances... a cat a Devilsaurs idk what do you guys think

In my experience the best so far for me are ravagers, devilsaurs, cats, and of course wolves.

There isn't really a "use this pet" pet. It all depends on your personal prefrence, and if you're going for debuffs, buffs, straight dps, off tanking, etc...

Well what im looking for now is a Straight DPS for instances

Devilsaur. One of those guys can easily outDPS a Spirit Beast.

Yeah for BM a devilsaur is the way to go. You might get complaints about the size, though, and at that point you're well off with a wolf iirc.

Well at level 72, with the gear selection you have, you're not going to see gobs and gobs more DPS from a devilsaur over any other ferocity pet. Most people think of the tests people do at 80, but that's with level 80 gear. With just leveling gear, the difference in pet DPS is pretty minimal.

Yup, pets are pretty much the same. And unless you want to level trough instances, running with a Devilsaur instead of a for example a Worm is just silly...

Actually at this point, the highest dps pet for a BM hunter is the Raptor, which slightly eases out a Devilsaur. The wolf is very close behind (within 2/10 of a percent) Devilsaurs create problems with their size, especially in close quarters so I would recommend a Raptor or Wolf acording to your preference. All 3 of the pets mentioned will handily beat a Spirit Beast as well, unfortunately.

Really? I keep hearing different people say, without any remorse, that X pet (usually Devilsaur, Wolf, Raptor) is the best DPS, bar none. Just confusing to me is all, heh.

Nope, that was nerfed a while back. The howl now only effects its Hunter.
