Hello!

I've been trying to tame old cliffy for a month and a half now, and have yet to see his body or anything. I'm using SilverDragon, Tomtom and NPCscan. I've roamed his supposed spawn points (thot) and still nothing. Anyone have any tips other spawn coords? I'm in PST time zone, but on Argent Dawn (EST). I'm just hoping they don't retire him once Cata comes out.

Well, from the sounds on WoWhead comments he's estimated to have a respawn timer of about 12-13 hours.

He has a fairly small spawning area from the looks of it, so at least it's not too hard to patrol. All I can really say is keep doing what you're doing. Eventually you'll get lucky, you may just be missing him. Have you ever camped down for a full 12 hour wait? It may be brutal, but sometimes if you're really determined to get a rare spawn that's what you have to do. xD

After all that I just found him a minute ago. I'm shaking. But yay!

Haha, seriously though, if you publically complain about something not working or that you're having trouble with, right after posting it will always work. Glad to here you got him! Grats!

Cliffjumper is one the hardest to find.

Thank you all for your replies. I'm very happy to have him. It became a bit of a joke between my guildmates and myself, and because of this I've decided to name him Sasquatch.

I remember camping Ravage the purple hyena for 2 weeks. Leveled 3 times and had more leather than I knew what to do with, but eventually got him.

Congrats! I got mine a few weeks ago. He was definitely a toughie. He's realy the only rare/unique skinned wolf in the game which is why when Wolves became THE pet, I knew I had to have him.

That's funny you mentioned Ironjaw, because that's who I had with me while I was camping Cliffjumper.

Unique, yes. And honestly, one of the prettiest in the game, IMHO. But he's a continuous spawn, so I had to go with the Rare.

Hehe. I agree with having to tame the rare > unique.

Indeed Old Cliff Jumper is difficult to find. I was questing Hinterlands for a few weeks and hunted for him the whole time. Just as I'd finished my last quest to get the blue item neck piece, I ran one last time to the spot he spawns at and he was there. So don't give up, he's just a shy one.

I remember when i tamed this worg... i tamed about 30mins before Snarler but didn't really liked him. i went to The Hinterlands for first time to check if hes there. and he Was there. i knew many hunters want him so dismissed Snarler fast and tamed him. i keeped him long time.
(Until i got exotic pets)
