Talbuks? Beta Tester Needed

I know they arent tameable now, but I love them and would kill for one as a pet - people say on beta the stags have diets but has anyone checked if the talbuks do? They are stag like as well just a futuristic type of stag - if you can check for me, it may give me a small smidgen of hope :) Ty!

See i'd love one of these but it seems more people are begging blizz for like dogs and more real life things that i don't think would fit as well as these would. :S

Cow, chill out. Most of us would love to see Blizzard adding a great number of pets, and support of the addition of one kind of pet does not preclude the support of other pets being added.

Talbuks would be pretty cool, though I'm not really holding my breath for Blizz touching up Outland this expansion.

Well I said this because in my thinking they would be included in the stag family and apparently stags now have diets so it would make sense if stags were tameable to put talbuks in as well imo

Oh, it's definitely worth checking. I'm just being pessimistic.

I understand where you're coming from, and to an extent, I agree, but you just seem to be a little wound up over it, is all. People are really just indulging in some wishful thinking.

I'm not sure Blizz realizes this but deer are one of the most dangerous domesticated animals out there. Believe it or not, but more people are killed every year in Canada by deer than by bears. Domesticated deer have lost their fear of humans and are no longer going to run away when threatened, so when people that are strangers to the deer are like "oh, how cute a deer" then try and pet them, WHAM! deer have antlers for a reason you know.

Actually I thought it'd just be people stupid enough to put doe in heat urine on their clothes and get to close to rutting bucks.

hmmm I think the reason there may be more deaths by deer than bears is because of car/deer collisions.
We have tons of deer just in the little strip of forest around our house, thankfully they haven't jumped in front
of my car yet :)
I also would like to see the deerish animals made tameable. I love games where you see a beast and came tame it.
Everything should be tameable :D

RAGNAROSPET GOGOGO!

Agreed on the car collision cause of deer fatalities, that's most likely how it happens. I mean, moose are the number one killers here. :D You drive into a moose at a high speed, and you're dead.

Eh, tamable talbuks would be interesting. Especially when the mount is probably not too far off than the size after it becomes a pet.

I've wanted a Talbuk pet ever since I first saw them. I'm watching this thread hopefully...!

Just throwing it out there, cuz me and a number of my fellow Hunter friends have had major discussions on this...

I've always kind of felt that, with some obvious exceptions, Hunters should be able to tame all things "beast". After all, in my mind at least, Hunters are beastmasters and are able to turn even the most savage of creatures into a tame ally.

Now, of course, I don't think that all of the beasts of Azeroth should be tamable, but a decent surplus would be interesting. I'm sure I'm not the only Hunter who's grown tired of the same number of pet families, and I personally have gotten tired of seeing every non-BM Hunter on my server using the same old wolf skins: the white Saberworg or the Ramparts wolf.

With Cataclysm bringing a whole new light to the Hunter community by making each pet provide a unique benefit, as well as streamlining the pets so that they're all equal in DPS output, hopefully that will get other pets into the mix, but I have a growing fear that the foxes will become the new Saberworg/Ramps wolf.

They say "variety is the spice of life." While it's true we currently do have a nice variety, what's wrong with a little bit more? Skins or families or whatnot, doesn't matter to me.

/rant :D

Oh my. That would be like hitting a wall. What country is this again? Somewhere Nordic, if I remember right.
But, yeah, gotta go with the car crashes. Seems I've heard that before. I'm sure some people to stupid stuff to deer and get kicked/gored, though. Having watched people interact with bison (they're wild animals you fools! they weigh more than your car!), I will believe any stupidity where people and wild animals are concerned. Case in point...tourist walks up within 10 feet a bull buffalo and starts yelling an flailing and jumping up and down. He's damn lucky it wasn't the rut and that bull was in a good mood.

Back on track, I want a talbuk and/or deer. Real deer are pretty good fighters, with those sharp hooves. They could make an "ungulates" family for deer and talbuks.

Sweden. We're famous for our moose, and the warning signs associated with them.

The thing with moose is that they're big enough so that you only see their legs, and those can look surprisingly like the pavement (At night, of course. That's when most collisions occur.), and when you hit it, it's tall enough to simply have it's legs hit, thus making it collapse over your windshield if you're driving slow enough. If you drive faster, you're dead regardless, because like you said, it's like hitting a wall. Anyhow, they fall over the windshield. Ouch. I think this picture is of a low speed collision.

LOW. SPEED. COLLISION.
Deadly animals.
