Seriously... Don't you just love when they do stuff like this!? They've gone too far now, really. HE. IS. DEAD. I watched Grom kill him myself! Blizz, please stop being stupid... Just saying "We brought back your old favourites, look!" doesn't mean that you will get the WC3 veterans back. If anything, it's turned me away from the game even more. Good job Blizz. *Salute*

(Thanks to Palladia for the image. I hope it's okay I put it up.)

Honestly.. I'm fine with it.. its more of a story and Cenarius is...well..hes Cenarius..hes very powerful.. They could open a lot of doors to justify it and as my other favorite class is a druid, I am pleased.

Yeah, you should try it Unggoy. I should add some background.
This guy is the demigod of the forest, and the patron of druids. He taught Malfurion, I believe. Anyhow, when the Warsong clan of orcs start chopping down Ashenvale, he attacks, along with the nelves. Grom, who was a warmongerer, kind of like Garrosh, saught out a supposedly "enchanted" well, which was really cursed with demonblood. Grom drinks, and curses his orcs, which makes them much more powerful. He then kills Cenarius. That guy is dead. REALLY dead.
I half expect Grom to come back too now. It is obvious that Blizzard doesn't care ONE. TINY. BIT. about the lore. -.-

That's weird Sarayana, it works for me.....
Anyway, it's good old Cenarius. I find it kind of ironic that he helps you fight Ragnaros.

The death of Cenarius at the hands of the orcs, demon-tainted or not, enraged the night elves, cementing their view of the savage, green-skinned (although red-skinned at that moment) creatures as their enemies. When Malfurion considered the possibility of allying with Jaina's and Thrall's forces, observing that they fought against the undead as well, Tyrande vehemently rejected the idea and cited the fact Cenarius had been killed by them as proof that they were the enemy.
Since his father Malorne was said to have a strong connection with the Emerald Dream, due to its connection to nature, Cenarius' spirit was able to live on in the Emerald Dream as a spirit of nature. The night elves believe he sleeps in the Emerald Dream while his wounds heal, and that he will some day join them again.
The only clue to Cenarius' current activities comes from a conversation his son Remulos has with the spirit of Malfurion when players complete a particular quest. It appears Cenarius is now helping Malfurion combat The Nightmare that is disrupting the Emerald Dream, causing the corruption of The Four Dragons among other things.
^^^ It could very well be his spirit or the night elves could have been right he is a god, I doubt he'd be so easy to truely kill but thats just me.

The lore supports it VERY mildly, yes, but it's still complete bullshit. Palladia told me what "jumping the shark" meant, and I can safely say that that's what they're doing here. The same reasons they're bringing Onyxia, Neffie and Raggie back. One or two I could understand, or even like, but now it's gone too far. Dead apparently doesn't mean squat to them.

And that's the thing really. Yes, this is Blizzard's game, and it is their lore. They can do what they want with it. But you get to a point where bringing back people from the dead is just a badly used plot device. It's just being used in this case to bring back a lot of the larger villains and now even one of the larger good guys. It's for the recognition of the names.

Etc etc. It's NOT Lore Slaughter- Blizzard left it open, especially with the last bit, that Cenarius was not truly dead. And then there's also the fact he's KINDA SORTA BATTLE SCARED. *points at chest* *points at sides* His body died or was heavily injured- but his spirit remained alive.

This really is turning into something like All my Circuits, Calculon's show in Futurama... Everyone gets amnesia, or fakes their deaths, or have multiple personalities, and so forth. Plain stupid, in other words.
And I won't even try with that, Ryai. We both know the discussion won't go anywhere with people quoting Wowwiki like that.

That was added in MUCH later. About three years ago, which is still a goodly number of years after his death. It was just tossed in in preperation for something. The problem is, it also came with a bunch of other ressurections. One or two sure, but we've even got C'thun coming back for more. It's just a bit ridiculous to toss them all in in the same expansion.

In all fairness, we cant kill an Old God, we can defeat them however.

True, but like Palladia said, having ALL of them come back, IN THE SAME EXPANSION, is stupid.

I understand that, what I am saying is that we are seeing ALL of these old defeated people coming back at the SAME TIME. Dead is starting to not mean anything in the WoW universe.

Honestly it's not like that :/ I don't see you throwing dirt over
Lo'Gosh/Goldrinn and he was evidently 'killed' too.

..................................................................................................................................................
I'm just going to say this. What I quoted? I am damn sure existed BEFORE CATA WAS LEAKED AT ALL. So fine, I'm not even going to bother. You just want to complain and moan about something and not accept, even remotely of a micron's possibility that in all this time Cenarius might have faked his death, or he was proclaimed dead so that the demon, Mannorth would not dessecrate his body and kill the god completely. That Ysera couldn't have begged Alexstraza to do anything within her power later, to help Cenarius, or that Ysera herself hadn't done anything to protect and nurture the body, because as long as the spirit is alive there is hope. Or possibly that Cenarius regrew his form while in the emerald dream, but is now bound to it except in special instances, unable to ever truly leave it. As Ysera herself is awake and this could be tied into Cenarius, battle scarred and all, showing up in MT Hyjal and ONLY mt Hyjal where Ysera herself is now.
So I'm not even going to bother quoting lore that Blizzard made well in advance of this, leaving possibilities open because I'm tired of you even complaining about magical conch shells in a
fantasy MMO.
If you don't like it, don't play the game Saturo, or don't quest in Mt Hyjal. Blizzard ain't forcing you at gunpoint to pay 2 play, it's your choice. If you don't like the retcons or evolution of open door plot holes, then don't play the game. If it's stupid, drop this MMO and go elsewhere. All I can say.
