Your UI

The topic about addons made me think of another subject: what does your UI look like? Do you like it simple or would you rather have everything visible at all times?
I for one prefer the unaltered UI for the most part. Due to me having to use a minimal monitor (1024x600, my mini laptop can't handle WoW on the bigger screen), I need to find a way to have everything accessible without filling up the whole screen. Things that appear when you hover them aren't exactly my thing either. What I do like however, are keybinds. You can't see it in the UI, but I have tons of stuff bound via BindPad: namely mount/dismount, pet attack and return, some traps, aspecs and track humanoids/beasts. I'm also a huge sucker for organization, so I often leave empty spaces between groups of icons and keep the most important ones in the middle.
To me the most important thing is to be able to get all the information I need with a quick glance.

I use the default UI as well.
I've tried some of the other ones, but they just feel so alien to me that I can't adjust to it. I have no problems with the regular UI, the most I do to change it is use the UI Scale to make it somewhat small.

I would scale it down too, but then all the text would be way too small for anyone to read. XD Some text is pretty hard to read as it is. <.<

For about a year after I joined I went without addons. Then a guildy suggested some (which I no longer use now) which got me hooked on 'em. :P
This is my UIs present look (taken on my troll alt):

Wow, that UI is pretty nifty Skyshot! I'd like it if it wasn't for the big grey box on the bottom....it takes up unnecessary room and covers the screen.

If that background could be turned off, though, I'd be sorely tempted.

Yeah I'm still getting used to the grey myself seeing as I've only had it for a week or so. :O The UI itself is SpartanUI (the map is called SexyMap). I think the bar mod they used for it was Bartender. It's pretty much the same thing without the background. The thing I like most about Spartan though is that there's little to no need to fiddle with bar placement. :) I'm a bit lazy about UI addons that require a ton of tweaking to get placed correctly.. But there's probably a way to toggle/remove the background.. I'll have to read further into the FAQs for the mod.
Edit: Just read through the FAQ a bit more and it looks like you may very well be able to remove the background. :)
How do I remove a bar background?
How do I make a bar background darker/lighter/more transparent?
/spartanui backdrop x y
Where:
X=the bar you want to change the background alpha of. Accepts values all, bars, popups, bar1-6, or popup1-2.
Y=the alpha (opacity) of the background, on, off, 0 for transparent, 1 for opaque, or any value between 0-1 including .5, .3, etc.
Examples:
/spartanui backdrop bar1 0.5 - Changes the alpha of action bar 1's background to 0.5 or 50%.
/spartanui backdrop popups off - Turns off the backgrounds for the popup (bag/pet/stance) bars.
/spartanui backdrop all off - Turns off all the backdrops for all bars (including popups).

Ooh....I might have to fiddle around with it then.

It really looks lovely on screen, I just like to have as much of the game showing as possible without being blocked out by bars and such. ^^

I also use the default UI, although i have tried using a couple of addons (Like the one Saturo had on her map) and i tend to get rid of the arrow on the quest helper seeing as it only gets in the way...

I knew I left the UI in this shot on acci-PURPOSE.

Note: Kinda old, now I have Mappy in the top left, so my map is different. And the big space above recount is where my omen window pops up...

I use the default UI with the addition of a single Titan panel bar at the top. I use a lot of macros and keybindings and a number of addons.
Titan Panel
AuctionLite
ZHunter
Recount
Omen
Titan CritLine
HonorView
Deadly Boss Mods
Atlas and Atlasloot
ItemRack
Map Notes
I like to keep a clean screen with nothing popping up in the center and blocking my view so all the info from the addons is kept to the sides.

I use the default UI, with Zhunter. After I hit 70 in BC, I had so many buttons... Then I discovered Zhunter, and now I can't play my Hunter without it. XD
That Spartan one looks really cool though. I may have to give it a try.

Here are a few pics of my newest UI, all custom made by myself. I had a hard time finding a raid pic that showed all aspects of the UI that gave it justice, since almost all of it disappears upon leaving combat/having no hostile/attack-able target selected. I've changed the ButtonFacade skin since the pics to the Shadowed one, I like it a lot and it fits with the layout pretty well. I'm constantly on the search for the perfect UI, and I love this one. I'm still occasionally tweaking something here or there- but considering I have a few hundred addons, this should be no surprise.

What addon are you using to do that?

Well, it's a combination of a few with coding. Bartender 4 with custom conditionals, linked to KGPanels. Took me a bit to get the coding just right as I wanted them to behave a certain way (bar 1 needs to show when in vehicle, need to see bars to drop traps and so on). I also have Recount able to be shown OOC by clicking the panel it rests over. I put a lot of work into the coding of the UI, and I was very happy that what I envisioned was able to be done! I still want to work on them just a bit, gonna look into having a conditional show a bar when flagged for PVP so I can flare/drop traps and so on, as my UI is optimized for PVE.

New, updated UI again - this time I really got my unitframes to look good. <3
