Guilds and Raiding

So It seems I have the worst luck at finding a permant guild that I will enjoy. The one I'm in now is literally falling apart due to people wanting progression so most of the guild is transferring to a different server. This is just frustrating to no end because I've been in to many guilds where there causal and then ppl one day decide to bail and the guild becomes a ghost guild basically. So sick of raiding becoming like an obsession with people that is the ONLY thing in all of wow to do. To me there is much more to the game then raiding all the time or being the first guild to down a new raid. It's all about bragging rights basically. UGH!!

*end rant*

My old guild held together trough vanilla, TBC and WOTLK. The depressing news about Cata killed it off tough.

Sad you feel that way about raiding. It's hard to find a guild that "fits your style", so as to speak. You can always do what I did, take a break fir a while. Join Petopians and play casually for a few months, only raiding with PUGs, if you feel the need to do so. I kind of liked it, and it got me in the lope to try for a server first RS, which I'd probably not done without the Petopians to keep my mood up. Didn't get the server first, but meh, whatcha gonna do? :P

Some of my guild members claim players are pugging LK kills...

And besides.. My hunter has full t10 gear and full ICC 10 man gear plus some 25 man. I really can't complain on my gear right now. It's pretty nice. So the way I see it is once your geared up then what ? I don't see the point of keeping going at a boss unless u find it fun.

You can always try PvP or achievement hunting, I guess. Otherwise, well, maybe it's time for a little break from WoW? It can really help to take a month or two off, you know.

Well not really. One is Alliance and one is Horde so it's different. I also found out this server they wanna go to is a horde server. I checked what I think was the best guild and there LK kill was 18 days before our best guild on my server. I guess I will never understand the obsession people having with wanting to raid that badly. They don't like the server so they rather pay $55 per toon to go raid on a different one. I like raiding to a point but not enough to pay $55 to do so. I guess the hunt begins for a stable guild that raids but it not hardcore raiding. I can't stand hardcore raiding guilds. I rather be guild less then be in one.

Ok here's how I see it you need a guild that has ppl who like raiding and ppl who are just there to talk/PvP/have fun with friends. The guild I'm in now is run by my boyfriend (RL not game) we have ranks for ppl who raid progressively (hardcore), passive raiders (ppl who raid Icc/ToGC for fun), achievement ppl (mount hunters, AQ raiders stuff like that), PvPers, ppl who just hang-out, trial members for when u 1st join (its how we find trolls and/or really annoying ppl). I feel the way you do guilds shouldn't be all "hard core progression". I mean we got sever 3rd Helion kill :headbang: but also have alot of ppl who only get on a few times a week just to chat with friends  . Try to find a guild like that on your sever, I would ask around alot 1st if I were you tho. Not all guild are created equal. Hope this helps.
