I am entirely unsure whether or not you know about this, but nonetheless wish to inorm you of the possibility of getting your hands on a new Silithid. I believe it uses the same model as Cataclysm Soriid the Devourer, although differently coloured. It is aprox. 2 mins into this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MnACRSaUd8g

That's Haarka the Ravenous. He's a rare too that is getting a reskin, I have already tamed him and Soriid, hoping the change makes it to LIVE, if not. Imma RAGE


EDIT: Edited for lies, or just sleepiness, I haven't actually tamed either of them yet -- but I sure as hell am planning on doing so, leveling to 60(ATLEAST) fast and grabbing both of them even if I have to camp for CENTURIES -- okay.. that won't work out, but I guess you catch the drift.

Is this tamable as is on beta? Or will I have to scamper off onto my hunters and go round this guy up on live?

"Not tameable on beta" - Doesn't mean it isn't tameable on Live.

Doesn't explain the fact it looks like that. Soriid doesn't become one, even though it's beta skin is one of those, what makes Haarka different?

Well, I of course don't know for sure, lacking a beta key, but none of the post's I've read regarding the reskin seems to indicate so.

So far all the testers have reported success with it.

This has already been confirmed. Someone tamed Soriid on live, made a copy of that character for the Beta and sure enough Soriid becomes the new model because their NPC ID is the same.

No problem! Always happy to help. I'm a Silithid lover, so I damn well am going to plow through every last detail about my beloved buggies. I don't have a beta invitation though -- makes it alot harder. Ah-well. I personally still HOPE a beast with Fankriss' model/skin gets tamable, I adore that model lots <3

I've always wanted the centipedes too. They would make awesome Tenacity pets, don't you think!? :P

Sorry, had to. And yeah, that skin is awesome, I've been wanting it as pet since about -- forever.

The sand reavers seem to be almost scorpid/silithid hybrids, so they could go in either category.
