Monkeys are no longer classified as Gorillas or Primates, they are their own type of pet, just like the Fox change. Monkeys are now Cunning pets as well.

I named mine Nanners

Whew! With all these new pet types, looks like Mania's going to have some updating to do.

Lol indeed, posted a pic of the wonky Cunning tree and showing Monkey as it's own classification now.

Also, the Vale Howler's from northern STV, where I tamed mine, appear to be skin-changers

Man these poor new families and their weird talent lists. But still, yay monkies? *shrug* I know some of y'all were into them.

I know this is good n all but i'd rather have more skins in the familys that need em ya know?

Booooo, they need to change that and their size (fox size as well) and give them a new skill.

My speculation is that we'll see more shared family abilities with some differences between the families themselves.

I don't have any idea what's going on, of course, but my guess would be that either:

• Blizzard is deliberately adding families because they needed more of them to spread the new pet abilities around, or
• They are going to be grouping pet families in some way so that each family won't need a unique family ability.

That's what I'm thinking, Mania. A combination of the two. We'll end up with a bunch of different combos of abilities, so we can pick and choose which particular set we want. Each family will be unique in arrangement, but will share abilities with other families.

Just speculation.
