Hurray! I had tamed the pink spider in Naxx as soon as I hit 81, and just went back to check that the brown and the bright green one are also tameable!!! Awesome having more spider skins to choose from. I'll get the tamed later today when I have some friends to sacrifice themselves for the good of my pet collection! muahaha.

Oh, should say why I'm dead. I ran in and hit beast lore, detterenced which let the spell give me the info that they're tameable and then died. All the spiders in this pic are tameable.

I do believe those other two skins are tameable currently anyway (though not in Naxx), but having the purple one tameable is exciting, indeed!!!

I wonder if this means that the purple spider in that cave in Storm Peaks that currently untameable will become tameable?

Someone did this sacrifice a while back. They've been reported in already. (Check Mania's spreadsheet!! There are zones and pets that haven't been done yet).

Reread Z's original post! She acknowledged that the purple spiders were already known, and was just reporting in on the other two types, which had NOT been known.

They weren't ticked off as tameable in the spreadsheet. I changed it to tameable.

In case you haven't seen it, I posted some time ago about the swarming guardians (black gem cat skin) in Ulduar here.

To my knowledge nobody has had the group or resources to test them yet. Perhaps you do?

Pretty sure they weren't tameable. I cast 'beast lore' on them back when we raided Ulduar and they weren't. I can go get a raid and have a look though. Only need to kill a few bosses to get there.

The purple spider in Naxx has always been tameable, just you had to be higher than 80 to tame it. I cast 'beast lore' on that the first time I saw it and then tried to tame it, but I was too low level. That's why, as I said, I got it as soon as I was level 81 (back on the Alpha): I just LOVE that skin.

Someone on youtube asked me if the 'blighthound' in Naxx was tameable. I'm still trying to get a raid together to go and find it. I don't remember a blighthound at all, but apparently there is one in a pat just after you kill Gluth. (There's another one I wish was tameable!) If anyone has any info about this mysterious blighthound I'd love to hear about it!

EDIT: Was just in Ulduar, none of the crazy cat lady's cats are tameable. Sorry.

Looking at Wowhead I can't find any Naxxramas mobs that use either the blighthound model, the plaguehound model (like the ones in EPL) or the hyena model. Looking at the full list of mobs for Naxx, I haven't found any trash mobs that even have a dog shape (though I could easily have missed one).

How about the undead, big dogs? There is one of those as a boss in Naxx. It's undead tough.

yeah, that's Gluth, he's not tameable.

No, I meant that that might be the Blighound you were talking about. I know it's not tameable, it's undead, like all others with that model.

So you remember seeing one? I couldnt find anyone who even remembers there being a blighthound in a Naxx. Makes sense that he would be undead. Too bad though, would be cool to have another wolf skin.

Yeah, I couldnt find it on Wowhead either. That's why I'm so curious about whether its there or not and if it's a demon, undead or beast.
