I adore Warp Stalkers, they're like a combination of some of my favourite creatures (dragon, snake, monitor lizard), however back in the day I swore that the only Warp Stalker I'd allow myself to own would be the purple one: Gezzarak.
I'm still clinging to a small thread of hope that miraculously she'll become tameable again in Cataclysm, or that we'll find another beast using that model.
If not, though, I fear she'll never be tameable if she isn't in Cata. If that's the case I may just give up on that dream and go for a dark green or a blue one. :'(
*patpat* I know how you feel. The ghost wolves use to be the only wolf I ever wanted, I worked by butt off once I learned of it and started getting all the items ready. When Blizz said they were keeping the pet as is there was no rush to taming it, just had to wait for friends to be on and get sorted out. The day we planed to do it (a day when they would all be on) is the day blizz hotfixed it so the ghost wold couldn't be tamed. To my sadness we all were out there ready to preform then find the 'Cannot be tamed'; flag on my stunning ghost wolf. It was outrageous to have blizz go back on their word when they said they liked how people used the game mechanics and would leave it in.
I almost missed out on gezz myself, I experimented for days trying to find away to tame her, her warp always broke tame (how that one solo tamed and didn't have the 'warp' brake tame is beyond me) so many friends tried to help with it, ended up having to chain stun in order to keep the warp or the agro dump from accruing. It was two days later that she too was fixed so she couldn't be tamed.
I learned, if you find out a cool pet is out there that can be tamed, do not waste any time. It's why I also now currently have my blue bug in hopes of it changing skins, and debating dropping my beloved chimera to grab the other.
