okay quick thread, but I have a dire need to know if it happens or not.
can someone see if the silithid reaver in shimmering flats also gets a new model when transferring to beta, I would love to know, as I would like my pretty bug to stay the same.

Speculation right now indicates that he doesn't survive the Cataclysm at all. :/

I believe Sorrid and Haarka are the only ones who's form changes, I think I read (on the sorrid thread) that all the other silithids retain there current (live) form.
The one you speak of is also MIA as 1000 needles is flooded.

I assume Rubybeam means if you tame it on Live and copy over to the beta. I suspect nothing will change since that npc (a) isn't used at all in Cataclysm that we know of so shouldn't change models, and (b) still shows the same model on cata.wowhead.com . But then cata.wowhead isn't always right or up to date. If nobody has tested it I can try it out in a day or so.

I already tested this.

The hunter that I have on beta was copied over with Grunter, blue scorpid, Soriid and Haarka on... also has the Silithid Reaver. I looked at it after I copied and it was the same skin.

It might not be in Shimmering Flats in Cataclysm, but if you have it it will stay the same skin.

I assume you mean the Silithid Ravager rare tan tank?

Stays the same so far.

ah that's good I really do want my bug staying the same I know he was completely removed from the game but the model change still might happen......

No reason for the model to change if the NPC isn't being used anymore, though.
