I went to dark shore yesterday on beta, but couldn't find any sign of ghost saber figurines among the new troll camp posted there, I believe its no longer tameable

i barely found one, i think its a respawn bug causeing the issue now, atleast i hope so

I heard of a report that he's still there ~ I would keep one just in case for now just to be safe though since he's special.

He's still there, I've tamed him myself. The figurines spawn maybe 3-4 at a time and the respawn timer is kind of long, probably bugged. I needed to open 10 before he spawned.

Yes but have you tamed him recently? Things may change patch to patch.

I tamed him right before this patch hit, I can go do it again I guess

Edit1: Found 4 statues my first time through the area, took about 5 min to search it thoroughly *waits for respawn*

Edit2: Found 5 this time around, respawn seems to be about 5-10 minutes. I tamed ghost saber on the 9th ^^

I managed to tame it current patch - around 8 statuettes before he appeared.

I think that making the spawn timer on the statues longer will make it a slightly more challenging tame. I tamed my Saber on the first statue so it would be nice to take that easy element out of it

It took me 16 cat figurines on beta before Ghost Saber popped.

...I almost gave up thinking Blizzard removed it...

When I first went to the ruins in beta, I couldn't find a single cat statue. I was beginning to get very worried when suddenly I found 6 statues all at once where none had been before. (And a Ghost Saber came out of #4.)

I'm both thankful and surprised they didn't end up turning the ghost saber into a spirit beast.

I found some but they take like 5 mins to get another

There would be years' worth of INCREDIBLY unhappy hunters if that happened.

indeed, because its the spirit beast look you can get without being a beastmaster:) or did they change that?

It's the original "other worldly" type look, and the only one that was intended to be tamed. But yes, it's still a regular cat skin, as far as we know. ^_^
