I really have the itch to log on to my dwarf and release Loque and Rakshiri for the Strider Clutchmother and Ghostsaber. She had the Clutchmother for a long time and, even though the skin is quite safe, it's looking like the actual Clutchmother is gone. For her, any old blue post-Cata strider really won't do. Loque was supposed to be the "grown-up" version of Kyndri the ghostsaber, but she honestly never really clicked. Even though I gave her Kyndri's name, I still think of her as Loque, and a boy! Honestly, I've only hung on to Loque for this long because she was my first spirit beast and I had spent SO LONG looking for her. But, even though I don't really play that charater at present, I still find myself wishing she had her ghostsaber back. As for Rak'shiri, I love that cat, but she'll be fine after Cata, by all reports. I can find and tame her again. I hadn't had her long enough to form too deep of a bond, after all. I think I'm gonna do it...

Yep, I'd say do it. I feel exactly the way you do about Strider Clutchmother. It's her that I fell in love with, not the skin itself. I think it was the fond memories of finding her five years ago out there in the wilderness with her babies. I killed her quite a bit back then >.< but it was because I enjoyed finding her. I had always said I wanted to tame her someday, but way back then, tallstriders were all but useless as pets (unless you only wanted Bite and Growl). She's been a part of my WoW career since the first time I saw her. So yes, when it comes to my tallstrider, she is the only one that will do.

I have a warp stalker in her slot right now, but that's only to tank Heroic Sethekk with. I fully intend to get her back ASAP.

aw tiegs, i think many of us have gone through what you are going through. i know thats why it took me so long to get rid of loque and skoll but in the end, there was no sadness, kicking myself in the butt for letting them go or anything. I am so happy with my stables now. I am glad i got my Midori ( nether ray) and Kasumi ( Cluthmother) i oculdnt be happier and have much more of a bond with them then i ever did with any of my SB's

Sounds like that would be a good decision Teigs. I have a feeling you'd be happier knowing those old companions were with your dwarf even while you're not playing her.

veph has a good point also, if you do seem to miss them. you can always get them back.

I released both Loque and Rakshiri. It was much harder to release Rakshiri, but I know she makes it through Cataclysm and I can retame her. It was actually pretty dang easy to release Loque. I don't think I'll look for that cat again...
Then, I headed off for Darkshore. I got my ghostsaber on the second statue and tamed her without a problem. I am thrilled to have Kyndri back by my side.
Next, I headed down to see the Clutchmother. Oddly, she isn't home. But, I'm sure she will be soon!

And now, the Strider Clutchmother has come home. This time, I named her Tyrni, which is another name for sea-buckthorn berries, a vibrant orange berry. It seems to fit her better than her last name did.
I am well pleased. I don't miss Loque, strange as that might sound to those who are looking for him. Rakshiri is another story, but it won't be hard to retame her after Cata.

Your new clutchmother is big enough to be your own mount.

Anyway, congrats on your tames. Nothing like a little blue and transparent white to brighten your evening.

Hooray!!! I'm glad to see your old friends are back home with you. :3 Oddly enough, I miss my old panther Nemaeus more than I do Tama (Rak'shiri). I didn't have him as long, but I really loved his colors. If Blizz gives us the riding tiger model of the black panther, I will be ecstatic!
