In the latest round of Cataclysm beta additions to Wowhead they added Scalemother Hevna and Stillwater Slitherer.

Both are the new sea serpent model and both are listed as tameable, but in the crocolisk family (déjà vu!). While this is probably a mistake, just like the old crocoslime, perhaps they're testing them out as water-only pets. Seems unlikely they'd waste so much energy on pets with such a limited range, but who knows? In the meantime, if anyone finds one it could be an amusing tame.

I don't know where they are located, if they're even active in the beta yet.

hmmm ...what if they did kinda the borrowed pet idea. like when you get underwater for an instance you can tame it and its more effective then a land pet, but after the instance you lose it.

It's not impossible they'll add aquatic pets. I mean they're adding water-only mounts. But with so much left to do on pets it just seemed like a lot of extra work for them at this late stage. It'd be cool though.

Could be Mana Wyrmling V2, there were eel varieties of them too, but also ones that could float in the air, which I would not mind. It looks awesome.

I ran across Hevna last patch, she was untamable BUT had a diet.

Checked on her again a few minutes ago, still untamable, unfortunately.

But if she becomes tameable she can only be used under the water I think?

They look really pretty, would be cool pets. They could be floaty like the purple ones in Borean Tundra, but they weren't tameable either. Somehow doubt they would release these as pets...

I never really liked the serpent models, but this one sparks a little flare of /need in me...must have....

Very pretty. I especially like how they have flattened tails, just like real life sea snakes.

Wow, the amount of detail on those is incredible!!! Man, I really hope the older models (mob and character alike) get updated like this someday. Could be wishful thinking......

I would love to have that pet. Looks like an underwater combo between a snake and a wind serpent.

I think it was mentioned somewhere that the original races would be getting a revamp...of course, it needs to get through Blizz's extremely long 'to-do' list first

It seems sort of depressing to think that they'd add a massive underwater zone to the game and not give hunters at least a couple of options for underwater-only pets.

Well the new warpstalker model is in the underwater area, so that's a new pet for us there.
