I've seen things like this before at museums and stuff though. There's a sound display at one, when you see how high a frequency you can hear. I can hear most of them, but my mum couldn't hear half of them XD

Yeah, my friend and I even triggered a deer alarm (It releases a high pitched noise similar to that one.) and she was going nuts, shouting, cursing, holding her ears. I'm sitting there going, "Bwah? It's not THAT bad?" I don't know why it doesn't phase me much. I just hear a clear, high pitched sound, but it doesn't hurt me or affect me at all.

Exactly the same here Azu. I can hear it loud and clear, without any pain or whatever most people felt. I've heard much brighter (and louder) sounds without problems.

The only thing that makes me flinch is really sudden, really loud, harsh sounds. Shouts, crying, shattering, noises like that make me jumpy, make me extremely irritable and tends to make me very angry and snappish.

It's not the same sort of situation, Azunara. I also really late loud noises like people shouting or stuff crashing; it makes me irritable and nervous.
This wasn't even remotely close to that though. It wasn't the noise itself; it was the PITCH of the noise, which was so high it was like driving needles into my ears.
