PC issues

Just wanted to let you guys know that my PC is in the shop for up to another 3 weeks. Didn't want anyone to think I was snubbing my fellow hunters. Keep your paws crossed that it sin't that long. At least I can check the board peridicaly from my wife's work pc. Here's to hopefully being back soon.

Three weeks? What in the world are they doing that takes three weeks?

resoldering every circuit board by hand?

Or is that 1 week postage, 5 days sat about at the workshop, 2 hours diagnosis and fixing, repackaging the next day and another week in the post?

I'm guessing it's going to take so long becuase they have to ship it from WNY to where ever Compaq's facilities are, wait for it to get fixed, and ship it back. It's been a week so far, and I'm jonesing for some WoW. With my luck, by the time I get the PC back, Blizz will have noticed all those oil stained wolves running around as pets and have fixed the problem so I can't get one. Oh well, at least all my alts will be well rested, right? lol

Got the PC back today. Too bad they replaced the hard drive. Funny, neither Compaq nor Geek Squad has any record of the HD being replaced. Thank god I backed it up before I sent it in. So now I sit... waiting for the restore. Hopefully it doesn't take the 8.5 hours the back up did. Here's to seeing you guys in game soon!
