Advocate for more families

Post on their official Hunter message board. If Mastiffs and foxes get their own "families" from the "Wolf" family then so should other pet families. Even though Mastiffs, wolves and foxes are quite similar to each other. For example, lions! Lions should get their own families away from tigers. Lions are different from tigers.

Can we gat a sticky in here! i Love this idea, ive wanted lions especially to be seperated for so long! im all for the idea of more then one skin in a family(cat has riding tigers, and saber tigers, etc etc. but lions are yes related to cats but they are not a cat to me, they are a lion. End Rant

My vote is for Blizzard to make more beasts and skins tameable.
And you know... get everything else fixed.

this is some weirdass bookmark blizz has made. they say that they want less wolves running around... so they give furious howl to... dogs? im sure this wont last but still that this came about for even a hot minute is bizzare. once they take out furious howl from being a family skill, i dont care how many families they make... even if it would be odd... as long as there r more skins to tame. i want 2 play with other beasts but i dont like a LOT of skins out now.

Owls and Eagles are quite different, and by the way i'm sad that owls are cunning.. maybe it's just me and my playstyle, but i find these pets, erm, weak..

The pet pass has not happened yet. Let me repeat that one more time.
The pet pass has not happened yet.
At the moment, Monkeys have the exact same set of family skills as Gorillas do - and a slightly different diet, just like Dogs have the exact same family skills that Wolves do, but a different diet.
These skills WILL be changing, and I can completely understand doing some of the basic family coding by separating the species but not making up a skill that will be changing. Can you imagine the QQ if they'd given Monkeys, Foxes, and Wolves each a unique family skill and then took it away to put in what they were really getting? "ZOMG Blizz broke my (insert pet name here)! They HAAAAATEEE hunters! *rabblerabblerabble*"
As to separating out lions and tigers from the general Cat family...I think there is a point where hairs are being split entirely too fine, and that would probably be it. Not to mention that using those two as an example is pretty poor, considering they can crossbreed to produce a liger or a tigon. Which means they're not as different as you might think they are.

Whilst I agree almost 100% with your post, *cough*dogscaninterbreedwithwolves*cough* (*sneeze*thoughnotwithfoxesduetochromosomalarrangementdiffrences*sneeze*)
That said, I'd love more families, but I'm not in favour of just arbitrarily adding new family skills when there's no gameplay reason to.
I mean, even if it was just that when you tame a Big Cat you get the Big Cat family skill (i.e. in Cata, a minor haste buff or whatever it is), but the default name is "Tiger" "Lion" or whatever. That'd be enough to distinguish them, but wouldn't involve blizz making "Roar of the lion - Haste buff" and "Roar of the tiger - Haste buff" and "Roar of the lynx - Haste buff" etc etc and making sure they are mutually exclusive and all that jazz.

Are they adding new recipes to cooking for [Tablescraps]?

Yes, you learn it right before
[Something I found under a hedge it's been dead for WEEKS], which is the best food for dog pets. (causes anything, ally or foe, to move away if within 15 feet of the stinky thing)

Adding too many families is a bit redundant, and it's not really necisary to add that many more family skills. The only family I really saw that needed adding was the fox one. Dogs/wolves seem too close to make sepparate familes for.

This.
We'll probably see more of everything after that.
