"Internal Pet error"

Anyone had the infamous "Internal Pet error" - that fills you with dread when you check your active pet slots and stable slots!?

I had tamed one of the purple/black colour changing Drakuru Raptors a day or 2 ago. Came on today, "Internal Pet error" and it's disappeared
I've gone and re-tamed another one for now and it remains with me after a couple of log-off/on's so I'm not sure what caused it.

Hopefully that's dealt with before it goes Live, don't want any of my "precious's" disappearing on me!


Maybe it's my now-untameable Snake causing problems...

I was getting this when I tamed some monkeys. I would log on the day after I had tamed it and get the same error. It happened at least twice. I have not tested it again in several days. I did BUG this.

I had gone out and tamed another monkey. The next day I got the error again. I will go try again and see what happens.

EDIT 1: But this did not happen to any of the foxes I tamed, or any other pets. I have tamed the red hyena from Tanaris, the rare 2 headed bird from Tanaris, the red serpent - Tanaris, a white crock from Wetlands, the new Raptor that looks like Takk from the Barrens, and I think several others. But the minkey was the only one I got the pet error with.

Now the birds and foxes had other errors, they would not scale at all, so their AP and HP were very low. All these tames were done on my lvl 82 Hunter. I tamed a spiky crab yesterday, let me log in and see if I get any errors.

EDIT 2: Had Internal Pet Error and crash to desktop. Still trying to log in.

Maybe it's just in this build then. This has been a pretty bad one!
New one any day now, so we'll see what that's like.

Ok, got it and the crab was gone. So I went out and tamed a green 2 headed vulture, snickerfang hyena, and a spiky crab. Logged out and then back in with no problems. I put the crab in my stable, will check after the maintenance today.

with this previous build that error has happened on all new pets I have tamed. I would tame, log off and log back on and it was fine, but if I was logged off for say a whole day and came back would get the error message and all new pets I had tamed would be gone. I would still have the pets I tamed before that build but not the ones tamed from this build. Haven't been back on beta for about a week tho due to lvling on live.

Out of interest, is the spiky crab a colour-changer? The first two examples listed were colour-changing pets and so I was wondering if that was the link. Maybe they're playing with code to get the colour stabilized. If it is that, the silithids-under-the-sea in Thousand Needles should now have the same problem.
