MMO-Champs Broked???
I only go on MMO-champion every once in a while to check up on cata news, but for the last couple days I haven't been able to get on the site.
I just get a blank page saying
502 Bad Gateway
Is this just me?

Try clearing your dns cache and or clearing your temp files.Renle wrote:I only go on MMO-champion every once in a while to check up on cata news, but for the last couple days I haven't been able to get on the site.

Yes, what Adam said. That should fix it.

go to your Start menu. Look for "run" click on it and type in CMD. This will bring up a little window. Now in this window you want to type in ipconfig /flushdns
Note the space between ipconfig and /flushdns. This needs to be there or you will get a error message.

My gratitude for the help AdamSavage but it didn't work. I don't know what the issue might be. I am not technical at all.

Did you try a different browser and deleting cookies plus temp files ?
Re: MMO-Champs Broked???
It's a problem on their end, it's not a user end fault. IPs in the US seem to be fine, but IPs from Canada and Europe have been experiencing many 502s and other site access problems. For me, some days I can access the site just fine, some days I only get text and others are complete 502s, and indeed the can vary throughout the day.
Since the migration to the Curse servers (coincidentally, I also have issues with Curse.com) MMO Champion has been very difficult to access.

I'm from Canada and I have no problems going to the site.Anansi wrote:It's a problem on their end, it's not a user end fault. EDIT: I sent a twitt to Boubouille about this.

What's your ISP? A couple of European ISPs just cache the DNS for a VERY long time and don't give a fuck about the TTL, that's what happen with Telenet in Belgium.Anansi wrote:It's a problem on their end, it's not a user end fault. Other ISPs are just weird, for example, it seems that shaw only updated their DNS for half of their users. If I'm lucky enough, Anansi uses Shaw and that's why it crashes randomly.

Re: MMO-Champs Broked???
Hi Boubouille, thanks for following up on this. I'm in Canada (southern Ontario) and use Rogers. As I said, I find the access to MMO Champion extremely uneven and can be inconsistent even over the course of one day. The DNS flush doesn't seem to work at least not immediately, yet if I visit the site through an anonymous proxy server everything comes up fine every time. It's very odd.

Hmm, I'm in Alberta Canada and I don't recall having issues accessing MMO Champion before, then again I don't visit the site every day.
