And by that I mean...pets people whisper you about all the time!

I've never had one of these before. In my entire hunter 'career' I've only ever gotten 1 whisper about my pet, and that was somebody asking if my white devilsaur was Krush because Icecrown's lighting was funky.

But recently, after taming Arcturis on my hunter, I've started getting more than a few questions about him from curious people. In the past two days alone, a lowbie hunter asked me about him in Ratchet when I was grinding ore for engineering, and a couple of people in dungeons have asked me about my pet too and where I got it.

What about you....ever get whispers about your pets? And which ones?

I've only ever gotten whispers (and some /cheers, some fond reminisces of when they got beat by him in SB, etc.) about King Krush. But he deserves the praise, he's one bad dude.

Well and another guy in my guild tends to /cheer at Naphthali a lot, lol...... She's just a normal spider but I guess he likes her, hehe.

Gondria. No doubt about it.

I got a few about my white bear, even though I am Alliance. I suppose that unless you do the one quest for Mangeclaw, it is rare for people to run into the white bears at low level. One hunter that whispered me was running around with his own white bear a few hours later, which was great to see.

My armored boar (rotting Arman'gar) got a few whispers too, again I don't think low level Aliance characters are likely to run into them in the wild.

Yeah, I got a lot of whispers about Gondria back when she was new. I've gotten lots of /cheers for Skoll too. Other'n that, I ran with a regular ol' spikey raptor from Blades Edge for so long, I got used to him only being special to me.

I've gotten several whispers about Galileo, who is Skoll. I know my husband gets whispers about his Arcturis. My yellow worm Wibbles has gotten some attention. But otherwise, no, no one seems interested in my poor babies!

EDIT: I'm forgetting Crowle (the brown one that tames as ferocity) He seems a bit bigger than other owls and people have commented on "that huge owl". He also gets a lot of negative attention in randoms...

I got a lot of whispers about Gondria last year when I used her. And in the spring I got whispers about Skoll. I may have gotten one whisper about Arcturis, but I started going as MM soon after I tamed him. I haven't even renamed him yet.
I very seldom go as BM now so my spiritbeasts get very little exercise, so no ore whispers for me ^^

From lv 19-74 i got /w's about my lil ghost sabar 74-76 was the wolf from zul drake
after 76 it was always about loque
now days its all about my baby krushie and sometimes skoll
then again all my pets get equal attention now days anyone from my realm comes to me about them

Skoll mostly, but i did get one lobie hunter...absolutly thrilled to see Justice, who is a bird of prey Bald Eagle skin

The spirit beasts both surprise and don't surprise me when they get whispers. I can see other people being excited when they see them because they understand the rarity.

But...and maybe it's just...I'm always surprised when somebody DOESN'T know them XD Maybe it's just because I'm a hunter, and SB's are like second nature to us whether you tame them or not, but I was totally floored when high-level characters in Northrend asked me where I got my see through bear (and a few seemed to think I'd hacked the game at first to make a weird bear skin or something).

As far as pet whispers go, the Spirit Beasts I use to have definitely topped for that. Arcturis was the worst, I actually had to make a macro that just explained what he was/how to get him to save me from typing it all out each time. xD\

I've had a few comments about Beast though, usually along the lines of 'HOLY CRAP y is ur pet a boss??!!', but still entertaining.

I got a /cheer for my Clutchmother once. I also recall once being asked where I got my snow leopard on a baby Horde hunter. If I remember correctly, the asker was rather weirded out by the fact I ran halfway across a continent to get her.

I believe I was one of the first peeps on my server to tame Skoll, because I had a million questions about him whenever I was in Dal (especially from MM hunters who thought he was a wolf lol, boy did they get pissed when they found out he wasn't).

I occasionally get a whisper about my black warpstalker, Ironhide. I've one had cheer on him, and others asking how I got him.

Sometimes I still get whispers about my big red wasp.

And now that I finally managed to tame The Beast (8 deaths, 50+ potions of speed, much gold dumped for haste gear, food and elixirs and much hair pulling), I've had maybe one or two whispers about him.

I remember on my lowbie draenei hunter one time gettin asked where I got the red lynx from, heh. At lvl 10, they thought I was crazying for going for it.

Honestly I get more tells about my Prairie Wolf from Mulgore, the coyote model that barks when clicked on, then any other of my "rare" pets combined. Everyday I seem to get 2-3 tells from both hunters and non-hunters alike, and sadly about half of them need directions to Mulgore. Oh the joys of being Alliance I guess.

I get TONS of whispers any time I have Skoll out. I also get a handful with King Krush, and many with the Oil-Stained Wolf. With Skoll, I got what I'd always wanted, what I'd also had with my worgen pet for a short time--tons of people going "OH MY GOD, where did you get that pet?!" It's less now that they've been around for awhile, but it still happens.

For awhile, I got whispered so often (5-6 times every time I was in Org for a few minutes) I had a macro.

When I was lower lvl, Humar got a lot of attention. Lately it's been Arc, the Beast (boss lvls), and most of all, Krush.

I've also gotten a lot of non-hunters surprised that I get Sewer beast on my horde. They had NPC Scan and it went off when I brought out Brunvand.

Oddly enough the pet i get the most whispers about i my yellow Silithid called Skreeva, but thye mostly just says things like WHAT IS THAT? and he gets lots of people cowering in fear from him. My other pet that get some Whispers is my Skoll mostly from other hunters asking how long it took for find him
