Once the stables expand its going to be a hardcore rush to get pets.. People will camp for rares again like the rare first came out.
Its going to be a free for all.. are you ready??!

Only two I'm going after on my 2nd Hunter is King Krush, & Giggler.
My first hunt I'll be getting several, only red hyena may be a problem as only one listed for Cata is a rare in Tanaris.

Honestly I don't think there will be many I intend to camp seriously, besides maybe Gondria (I do miss my Shikon) and.....King Mosh, perhaps? Though I don't know if I will be able to have two devilsaurs since Apollyon is my baby. I still think it'd be fun to have both the Kings, though. /shrug
But yeah, besides that, I can't think of any pets I really intend to get right off the bat that are rares. I think most of my beloved friends have been just normal beasts.

I'm certainly ready and already know some that I'll be camping or at the very least going for. First is Humar and then some of my past favs like Takk and Nuramoc.
I'll let the others, esp the SBs come when they come.

I'm not so worried. I know I want Loque eventually, but the beasts I'm rushing out to tame are not rare. I've reconsidered my stable several times and now have the rare pets I want to have permanently. The others I either never tamed to begin with (and so I can wait longer) or I just wasn't as attached to them (so they can wait longer for the retame). *shrug*

I also believe you will see a flurry for rare camping with a couple of hunters at a time. I myself want several of the rares, along with common pets. Will just wait out the rares till they settle back down, or do what I always do and get up early in the morning. Hopefully if the rare is up, no one else is hehe.

I'm not too worried. I have Loque, Skoll, King Krush, Old Cliff Jumper and Grunter. Gondria is an easy find, I don't like Arcturis to be honest, and the rest of the pets I want are not rare skins.

I'm not really worried. I've got my stables the way I want them, and everything else will just be icing. I can't really think of to many rares that I want, except maybe Skoll.
Also, will totally have a barking Mulgore wolf.

Same here, and name him Booger, after my loveable mutt, who we had to put down a while ago
He was the exact same color as the tan coyotes in the game, and as scruffy to boot

Me too! I was debating which pet to release to tame one if they weren't barking in Cata. I love those wolves, the colouring is great and their eyes are just gorgeous. <3

I wisah they would add pupils though, to have their eyes match the life in their animations.

The only rare i'm worried about taming is that new fox. Ashtail or something? Probably going to be awhile before I can get him.

I don't know who I'll be camping, if I'll be camping at all. The foxes and Mastiffs look fun to try.

Now that I tamed Skoll this morning, I have the three rares in the stables now that I want prior to Cat. I have Numeroc, which was a hard one to find/tame, Gondria which I camped for weeks for and now Skoll, that I logged out last night flying around his stomping ground, logged in at 5am this morning and there he was. I half expected to run into the Timelost PD, but instead found the blue dragon that shares his spawn. Oh well. The Silvermoon dragonhawk does me fine anyhow.
There have been many MANY instances where I have let go of a common pet for a harder to tame one. My philosophy hasn't changed. Get what you REALLY want thats harder to find when the gettings good, then get the easy stuff later when you feel like it. I call it, selective slacking. Work now so I can slack off later. Words to live by
Most of the pets I'm going after in the tame-a-thon are the turtles/crabs/cats/raptors etc that I've loved from before that were let go to get something more exotic. This update is fortuitious as I get to reclaim Tassadar, my black lion and Ninja, my albino turtle. And my red and blue crabs I named Cancer. Even with all of the updates to the game, there are just some pets that resonate with us and stick with us longer than others.
There better be "Army of Pets" spell that causes a random 15 of them to spawn and attack your target.

Then all this taming and retaming would have the backstory of raising an army of animals to fight the coming darkness.

It depends i think. If they allow us to tame 25 pets BEFORE Cata, then yes, there will be alot more campers going for rare spawns. If it doesnt happen until Cata, I think more hunters will be focused on leveling rather than camping Northrend for rare spawns.

I'm pretty ready for the expanded stables, only going after three old world rares at first (Snarler, Giggler, and Barnabus *sniff :'(*).
On a side note, that image is incredibly scary, Kikanu. O.o
