Since I got a new laptop it does have a nice screen and right now with graphics all the way up I have 26 FPS ... this is coming from me having 2 FPS with everything off :(
So after spending most of the night messing about in ally cities (sorry I enjoy killing your leaders :( and having picnics in your parks!!)
SO I have 0 addons right now and since Ive always hated my UIs I was wondering if people could link thiers and name the main addons for it.
Like
Tooltip addon: Tiptac
links aint needed I can curse em ;D
Cas seeing other peoples might give me idea on how to lay mine out and never know.... might find a new addon we never knew about! :o

Thanks in advance <3

Well, it depends on what you're looking for in an UI...

Nice and minimalistic, with most of the screen clear?
Or a practical overview, where you can see almost every skill and button on screen?
Or just pretty?

I use quite a lot of different addons, so I can upload a few screenies..

Spartan UI ~ I love being able to move bars around anywhere in the screen. Whether it be a 4x4 box or a 4x6 or a 1x8 however you want to have the bar as a rectangle or square... etc.

SexyMap ~ makes map Sexy

Vipernotify (annoying helpful annoyance that tells you your mana is full with AOViper on)

~ The 3 I use anyways

Here we go:

Image
This is the UI I currently have.
The main addon used is Bartender(4, I think). It's very versatile and configurable, and easy to use. You have 12 action bars which can all be re-sized, moved, and adjusted in rows/columns as you like. They can also be hidden and active (like a bar with certain hotkeyed abilities or macros) or just inactive (they don't show).
The red square is an example of how you can customize. I have my Tracking and Aspect bars faded and shown on mouseover.

Image
Here's what my UI looks like while in combat.
The pet bar is now active, since pet is summoned and just above the chat frame is Omen3 (Aggro management).
The green square shows Watcher. It's a rotation/priority watcher, which shows which shots/skills come come off cooldown, and lists them according to your preferences.

Image
This is my old UI. Instead of Bartender, I used Dominos. It's pretty much the same, but Bartender is better, imo.
I also used Zhunter, which is a hunter specific skill management addon. It adds additional bars for Aspects, Tracking, Traps, and Pet skills (Call Pet, Mend Pet, etc..). They are all folded to clear up the screen abit, but extend (as shown by the squares) when moused over.
It's a very handy addon pet management, because it allows you to bind several skills to one keybind.
For example, the first button on Pet skills shows:
-Call Pet when there's no pet active
-Mend Pet when pet is active
-Revive Pet when pet is dead
And all are bound to "<"

Image
This is my rogue's UI, and a bit more fancy. It requires more time to set up, but the results can be very pleasing. :)
The frame work is SpartanUI, which is pretty much only framework.
The action bars are again Bartender and moved into place (though you can find ready made hunter specific compilations).
Red square: Target frame, and Target of Target frame (with buffs/debuffs on top)
Yellow square: TinyMeleeStats. Just a simple addon for showing your current melee stats.
Pink square: Where your pet frame will be.
Green square: Where your pet's action bar will be.
Blue square: Map coordinates.

Personally, I prefer just the simple use of Bartender for my hunter (with additional addons like Watcher, Gatherer and NpcScan and so on, for extra stuff)

The only UI thing I use is Bartender...I'm not an addon obsessed person (and I don't think I got any addons until probably a year after I started playing) and my first was just Cart so I could figure out where the crap things were. Now, the addons I use are Bartender, NPCscan, NPCoverlay GSlite (mouse over and see gs if they're in inspecting range, just always wanted a rough idea on things), Recount, Healbot, and Headshot lol...so my shots make awesome critical noises.

I tend to keep the UI simple too. Even tho I have a clutter of buttons on my hunter...

well lets see.....

bartender-it allows you to move the bars to your comfort around the screen

guppet- it summons random mounts and minipets

carbonite- tracks quests on a floatable map on your screen and tracks trainers and other things if needed, also tells when enemys are around

Hmm, I guess the closest thing I have to a UI addon would be Mappy. Turns your minimap into a square so you see a bit more, plus arranges the buttons nicely around the perimeter.

I've never been someone who's liked having custom UIs. I like the default just fine, and then I don't have to worry about not being able to survive without a UI addon during updates and such. xD

Hmm. I mostly use the default, the addons I have are "hidden" - ViperNotify, AtlasLoot Enhanced, Tradetabs, Auctionator (not really hidden but I only use it for AH alts - on the other hand it's light weight enough that I can have it running on all toons which'll give me info about AH prices etc.), Petleash, Gatherer, and such.

Among the visible addons, I use TitanPanel, which I'm a HUGE fan of. I also have Carbonite running when I'm questing or doing dailies. My shammy has Shock&Awe (I looooove that it announces when your weapon imbue falls off!!!). My healers use Healbot and my disc priest also has PoMTracker. Then I have Quartz for my casting bar, that one's useful for ALL classes. :)

I think my addons are mostly utility, really. I used to use Bartender4 and am a fan, but it broke on me once and the whole headache of getting everything in order until they updated it was just annoying as hell...

Skada (can grow all the way down to the chatbox)
Dominos bar for my consumables that becomes fully visible on hover
Quartz
Simple Buff Bars for myself and my target. I also have one for my focus that only shows buffs that I cast in addition to healable debuffs.

For tooltips I use TipTac, and my minimap is Chinchilla. For Unit Frames I use Shadow Unit Frames, with which I've relocated the party frames to the right, as it feels more natural when healing. I don't have an actual Threat Meter, instead I use TidyPlates, which shows the amount of aggro the mob's current target has, and colors the HP bar yellow if I'm about to draw aggro.

On the sides of my skillbars I have spots for my Aspects to the left and pet skills to the right. Seeing that this particular toon is at the level cap, I've made the exp bar invisible - for the rep bar, I can hover the area below my skillbars.

I don't have any of the tracking spells or even the minimap tracking icon visible - it all works with Simple Buff Bars. Right clicking the track buff gives me a list of trackable things. The ones I use the most, namely Beasts and Humanoids, I have keybound to alt+mouse wheel down and alt+mouse wheel up respectively.

Ditto. Also add Ackis Recipe List to the list. It's a fantastic addon. It scans your professions, mounts, and mini pets, and shows you what you DON'T have and where and how to get them. I reccomend it to everyone.

I also found a chat addon named wChat the other day. Biggest thing about it is that it gets rid of those stupid buttons - personally I never really liked the up and down arrows or the button that shows how many of my friends are online. It's a big hard to configure as it has to be done by hand in the LUA file, but I think it's way worth it. ^^

I'm a bit of an addon nut. ^.^' **Long Post Warning!**

List: (I used Curse too by the way, and it's addon client.)

Ace3 - not really an addon, but a library for some of them.
Auction Master - auction addon, much easier to use than say Auctioneer.

Badboy: Anti Spam - for not seeing the Gold Spammers, auto reports them too, if you tweak the addon slightly.
Bagnon - Bag addon, puts all of the bags into one section. Easy. :3
Button Facade: To help skin all of my buttons, don't really like Blizzard's standard.
Caith, Entropy -various types of skins BF (Button Facade) can use, need to install them however.

Carbonite - Epic map addon, but need to download it from WoWInterface, it's not on Curse anymore. Good for mining/herbing, but has a questlog, like QuestHelper's, in it too. :3
Chill Effect - Minimizes the character, pet, and skill pages. Makes it easier to read.
Chinchilla Minimap - Highly customizable, can change minimap shape based on location too.
Closet Gnome - Outfit organizer addon.

Dominos - listed by some others. I prefer it over Bartender; easier to config for me, plus the bars can stick together no mater where you move them too.

eAlign - Just to help me align everything i have on it's grid. (Appears and disappears via the /align command).

GnomishVendorShrinker - Minimizes the vendor screens, easier to see. Note: Right clicking on an item auto-buys 1 (or whatever number set) for that item.
Gnosis Castbars - like Quartz, but seems a bit better in my opinion. Can seem a bit daunting to config though, but I don't change much on it.
GupPet - mount/companion addon in one. :3

HunterHelper - Hunter aspect addon, helps alert you to not having any aspects up, Cheetah alert, and viper alert in one.

MikScrollingBattleText - Easy to tweak, better than Blizz's combat text.

OmniCC - Cooldown counter (on buttons/ buffs and debuffs).

PhanxChat - Minimalistic chat addon, kills the Social bar too. :3
Pitbull Unit Frames (4.0 ver) - Better unit frame addon than what I used before (Shadowed Unit Frames; unable to get rid of curable/killable buffs).
Postal - one click emptying mail addon. :3

RangeDisplay - self explanatory, range addon.
Recount - Damage counter addon, I really don't use it much though.

SDDuelDecline - auto turn-down duel requests, plus auto reports the duel spammers. I just hate dueling people, especially higher leveled ones. <.<

Talented - Talent tree addon, show all 3 trees at once. Blizz's standard is a nightmare right now. x.x
Tidy Plates - nameplate addon.
Tiptac - Epic tooltip addon.
TitanPanel - others have said it.
TitanPanel -SDDuelDecline - Adds SDD's icon to Titan Panel's bar. Turns the addon on and off at a click.
Track-O-Matique - Tracking addon.

URL with pic, not everything is shown though. Still working on the layout. ^.^'

I started fiddling around with my UI again today, seeing if I could get some sense into it with the help of KGPanels.

So...

Ta-dah!

For the first time ever my skillbars look like they belong there and aren't just a random pile of icons. <3

Now if only I could align the location text to the right so that it would only stretch to the left from there...

Edit: As you can see, I'm always changing my UI. XD There has to be at least 5 different UIs I've posted here. <.<

I got a UI a few months ago that I'm going to miss big time come Cata. At least until they update it for Cata that is. It's called LUI and is packaged so that the second you install it and log in, you click the "install" button that pops up in the center of your screen. This will make your game reload and put all the addons (that make up LUI) where they need to be to look like LUI. No placement tinkering involved (unless you want to tinker that is). Install is pretty simple so long as you read the directions carefully. They also have a forum with all sorts of topics for help.... Just be sure to use their forum search first. They get a bit cranky with repeat help posts. ;P

You know, I'm usually not a fan of premade UIs, but this one is pretty good! I like that the buttons are tiny, and the small text. Most premade stuff are these big, clumpsy-looking awkward thingies that I can't play with, but this one is different. By default it comes with too few bars for me, but some tinkering later and it works! :D

Definitely a thank you from me for showing me this. :P
The only thing I can really say I HATE about it is that my Dominos_BuffTimes won't work. They work with all bar addons except Bartender. xD I guess I could switch the bar addon, but then the hideable sidebars wouldn't show... Ah well, a great UI nonetheless. :P
