Now that there are no blue dragonkin in the new Azshara, has a new source of azure whelplings been found?

I don't think we have any information yet on whether the Blue Whelps will be obtained through another method, or if they'll be retired.

It might be best to grab one now just in case.

You know, every time we say that the mob/item/beast/whatever ends up showing up in the beta. I'm sure they'll be around somewhere.

I'd honestly be shocked if they got rid of the Blue Whelps entirely, it would make no sense. And while I'm sure they'll just end up having them drop somewhere else, it never hurts to be safe than sorry.

There's still a colony of blue dragonkin in winterspring they could drop from, although Winterspring isn't finished in beta yet...

I was just going to say this. I'm sure the minipet will still be around.

I haven't been following too closely with geographic changes come cata, so I was just curious if any of the other whelp drops sites are getting revamped/whelp mobs getting removed.

The red whelps in the Wetlands went MIA as the Grim Batol area opened up and got overrun with black dragonkin of various flavors. But given that they also put in Alexstrasza a hop skip and jump up the road in the Batol itself, there's always chances the red whelps will show themselves elsewhere later.

I just don't see why they can not drop from any drake from that flight ya know? Seems a bit silly for only those ones to be a baby siter lol

It would be really funny if the blues in Winterspring ended up with the whelpling, since that was originally where I thought they dropped. xD

hmm, i wonder if any new beasties will appear in winterspring. and for some reason i keep thinking they're adding a Taunka town to the zone for some reason
