Do suggest blizzard design a share questline in cata for both hunter and lock to obtain a legendary pet. Besides this , a random spawn will be cool . Below are types of pet that i suggest

1) pheonix

2) Dragon

3) Cerberus

Class quests are out the window, I understand

First of all, Blizz has made it abundantly clear that they don't want us taming non-beasts. Secondly, class quests are indeed being done away with. Third, I'd argue that rare spawns, exotics, and hard tames are meant to be our legendary pets.

I love the idea of a pet taming quest line at 85, I just sincerely doubt it'll ever happen.

Siding with Sara here. I don't think a quest would be a good way to get an unique pet - either it would be a one-time deal, forcing us to pick just one, or a repeatable quest to allow us to change the pet. That doesn't quite work in my opinion.

There are some options however. ^^ While they're missing a head, the Core Hounds we have now are pretty close to having tamed Cerberus. The Red Owls, while not exactly fiery, have some resemblance to a Phoenix. The Warp Stalkers and Chimaeras could be seen as Dragons of some kind.

Well, it doesn't come with a golden ! but otherwise if it's the challenge and sense of epic coolness you're after, go try and tame King Krush or The Beast...

Cerberus is basically paid homage by corehounds anyway.

Sorry! Dragons are too smart to be tamed. If you want a Cerberus: The Kurken. And Phoenix.. well. I wish..
