I was doing my daily grind for Netherwing rep today, and an interesting little glitch occured. You know how whatever mount you're riding, it will turn into a Netherdrake while near Netherwing Ledge in Shadowmoon Valley, and your character will turn into a fel orc. Well, today, my mount glitched. Although my toon turned back to normal, my mount remained a Netherdrake! So I guess you can say I got an early taste of the mount, long before exalted

Anyway, you can see clearly here that my rep with Netherwing is far from exalted yet.

I was doing the quest Subdue the Subduer, so maybe that had something to do with it. Anyway, it was a cool glitch and I wanted to show everyone.

That glitch has been around for a while. I remember waaay back in the first few months of BC when I was grinding Netherwing Rep, I had that glitch all the time. Quite nice, except when you have to dismount.

I really liked that glyph, cause I had spent all my money to learn epic flying but couldn't afford an epic flyin mount yet so I still had the 60% mount to fly around with...when this glitch stuck around, I got a temp 280% mount quite often

I loved it when I got that glitch while repgrinding. The only down side is that it got me wanting to be able to get THAT netherdrake, with the bands and the tail-stripes and such. he was so pretty >:

hehe i love that glitch i got it when i was doing the rep grind recently hehe though i was sad becuase made me want that one more and more

You can't stalk him. I already did and now he's my boyfriend

I would have hid the interface, but I thought it was important to see that yes, I was outside Shadowmoon Valley when this happened. RealID can be a pain sometimes.

It sucks my future mounts won't have a colour option like the quest mounts, but meh. I'll just be happy to have them. Also sucks that the area is an Alliance hotpoint, and I'm on a pvp server, but hey, cool mounts are cool mounts. Worth every gank.

If u get summoned while in that form, u keep the mount look, even in Northrend, doing my Netherwing dailies right before a Naxx raid was uber fun

Leonard Doxtator II is one of the coolest names I've heard of in a while. It seems noble

Yeah, that was a bit of a letdown, the one you ride while in the area is much better looking than any of the permanent ones you can buy.

I hope they give the Netherdrakes a graphical upgrade at some point, they just don't look as polished as other mounts.

Love this glitch, but I agree with a few here--it always made me want that particular model, which I thought looked really cool with the bracelet things and the tail bands.

Oh well. At least I got pictures.
